I can’t say enough about Peppers Paws. Deb is amazing to work with. She is so calming and explains things so it makes sense. My dog Buddy has come such a long way from when I first started with Deb. He started off with so much anxiety and would howl the whole time I am out of the house to now he lays down and takes a nap. He is so much happier. I originally contacted Deb for separation anxiety and we covered so many topics that was a concern for me. I highly recommend Peppers Paws!
Best investment we made to nurture a confident , happy, loving, and trusting relationship with Jackson, our Portuguese Water Dog. Deb gave us the tools to understand the psychology, physiology, and common sense logic to move forward healthily through the puppy months that are usually riddled with pitfalls. Deb gave us “heads up” for behaviors to look for and showed exactly what to do through exercises, homework, rewards, and discipline. The package (10 lessons) that we went through with Jackson has given him the basic understanding to grow and build on his next chapter. Mitch and I couldn’t recommend Deb more….best money spent!

What an amazing learning experience. My best friend deserves, in addition to love, someone that understands what makes her happy and what keeps her safe and healthy. Deb was absolutely amazing with our boy Tucker who had some serious issues with barking at house guests and learning commands. Deb not only listened very closely to our needs but watched Tucker very closely each visit to help us keep him on track. She gave us so many pointers and he has learned many commands. I absolutely recommend her for any dog training you may need!

Deb was such a pleasure to work with and I couldn't have asked for a better trainer! She was so patient and invested in helping us get to a point where we could really enjoy spending time with him. We started lessons with her about a week after bringing our pup home and I'm so happy we did. It had been nearly 10 years since having a puppy and we knew that we could use some help training him, as well as training ourselves. The tips, tools, and homework she gave us were so helpful. She really focused on our specific needs and I enjoyed having our sessions in different environments (in home, on the boardwalk/beach, and meet ups with other pups) to help getting our pup trained and socialized. Highly recommend working with Deb, don't hesitate if you are considering scheduling with her!

Deb is such a joy to work with. We are amazed by the difference in the demeanor of our dog after just a few short weeks. He’s a star at the basics and we can even take him with us when we go out to lunch. Winston loves the structure and is wiped after a few minutes of training. Keep in mind, the training is just as much for you as the owner as it is for your pup! Cannot recommend her enough!

Deb’s dedication and professionalism was very helpful training our dog, her actions and information was spot-on when it came to teaching our 4-yr old male sheltie named Bear. She exhibits the patience and love it takes to do what she does for problems with dogs, this is reflected in her attention to details.
We would recommend Deb highly for anyone trying to get the best results from their beloved dog.

I came to Deb with a highly-reactive dog who would bark and make a scene every time he spotted a person or dog, or even heard a noise. She took the time to get a deep understanding of his issues and their possible underlying causes, explained them to me in detail, and then taught me exactly how to work with him to help him overcome them. Clearly, this is a process that takes time and patience on the owner's part. But if you are willing to follow Deb's guidance, you will see the results. I can confidently say my dog can now walk past 95% of people without any barking/drama, and he's improved drastically with walking past other dogs. I have no doubt that he will only continue to improve the more I keep up Deb's instructions. Also important: please don't wait like I did to see if your dog improves on their own. The earlier you can get your dog on the right path with a trainer like Deb, the better. Highly recommend!

Would highly recommend Deb for working with you and your pups. Just when I started thinking I might have made a mistake getting a second pup 8 months after the first one, Deb came into our lives and returned my house to calmness. She gave so many useful tips and instructions for everything, from accidents in the house to anxiety meeting anyone entering my house. Can’t say enough positive things about Deb’s services!

Deb is absolutely fabulous to work with. I called her after adopting my first ever dog from the SPCA. I had no idea what I was getting into with a three year old pitty. Deb met with us and asked what my realistic goals to achieve were out of our lessons together. She tailored the training specifically to Kimber and I. We can go out in public and enjoy time at home with our new fur baby, now. We couldn't thank Deb and Peppers Paws enough. It feels so good to have people compliment Kimber on her manners.

Deb is an amazing! She helped our very lovable (but poorly behaved) golden retriever become more controlled especially on walks. Prior to Deb's training, we would get pulled down the street on a walk, which wasn't fun. However, Deb taught us how to get him to walk better on the leash. Now, it's a lot of fun walking him! He doesn't pull at all anymore. He was labeled "dog aggressive" by the shelter where he came from. However, after review by Deb, she concluded that he's just fearful of other dogs that might hurt him -- so he is noisy (loud barking) to try and keep them away. Again, Deb gave us the tools to help him interact with other dogs (that we know) in a friendly and non-threatening manner. We highly recommend Deb as a trainer for your furry family members!

Deb was wonderful to work with. She did an amazing job of modeling how to positively shape our new puppy's energy. We appreciated the handouts and videos that were included with the lessons. This enabled us to practice between training sessions and we were able to celebrate with her all of the progress that our puppy and we made. She made training sessions fun for both us and our dog. We would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a trainer.

We adopted a puppy from a rescue organization and suddenly felt panicked because many years had passed since we had to train a young dog. We contacted Deb at Pepper's Paws and she immediately put us at ease. Her expert knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques helped our dog to better understand us and us to understand her. Follow-up videos and written instructions are really helpful to reinforce proper training. We highly recommend Deb!
