Honestly the best Chinese takeout I’ve ever had. Always excellent and friendly service. We wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Best Chinese in the area by an absolute mile. Love that Alex does half portions so you can try new dishes without having to spend a fortune in the process. Order the salt and pepper ribs!
Curry sauce lumpy with weird bits in, looks like flour that hasn't mixed properly, no amount of stirring helps. Chicken chow mein, rock hard bean sprouts, chicken stone cold placed on top, more onion than everything else together. Shop won't even answer the phone to accept a complaint or to rectify their mess and uber eats refuse to help. You have been warned, this place is rock bottom. Cotswolds might be beautiful but the businesses around here are the worst in the country.
Cracking Takeaway, its got an energetic, busy vibe. Telephone order was ready exactly as promised and the food was excellent, tasty and hot.
Guy at the counter is really friendly. Didn't expect to get good Chinese food out here but it's actually really satisfying.
Was passing through and decided to grab a Chinese, stepped in the door and was greeted by the funniest bloke I've ever met, kept me entertained whilst I waited for my food. A credit to the business. MazzaL20 ✌🏻

Simply delicious. The food is amazing, full of flavours. This was our first visit (on a Saturday evening). We ordered just before 7pm and were told the food would be ready in about 45 minutes and the food was ready when I arrived to pick it up. This place is so popular that by 7:30pm, the wait was 90 minutes.
We ordered by phone but you have to persist because it gets busy. They will answer. Parking is easy as there is a large free car park behind the takeaway. Now that we have found this place, this will be our go to place for a Chinese takeaway. Highly recommended.
Not pleasant at, haven't used in years but fancied a Chinese had high hopes 🥴. No flavour , soggy chips and crispy chilli beef !!food cold I had to reheat in microwave, guy lovely ! Shame about food 😞 delivery nearly 2 hrs !!!
Wow… Great Food, Fast Delivery, well priced. We live in Witney and firstly didn’t know if they delivered to Witney as website says Carterton and surrounding villages but so glad we made that call. A colleague from work recommended this Chinese to me and so glad they did. Food was piping hot when delivered which was one of my concerns when we’re 6 miles away from their takeaway. Dishes were all perfect and as expected. We ordered kung po chicken, shredded chilli beef, house special rice large and garlic and chilli chicken wings all amazing. Will definitely be ordering again.
I decided to revisit my old Chinese restaurant as I was in the area and the food was amazingly delicious 😋 so that’s worth 4 stars, would have been 5 but, ……….
The only bad review I have is the amount of bad language from a group of teenagers that were hanging out in the restaurant playing GTA. I had to send my little girl who is 5 years old to go and wait in the car with a relative whilst I waited for the food! I was also left stood right by the door as the group of teenagers were taking up a lot of space/all of the seats. This is not only intimidating for your customers, but the language being used is not great, especially when the owner made no effort to calm it down.
Can't believe the reviews, food is awful. Chow mein was so wet it was like soup and noodles so overcooked they had no texture. Not 1 good Chinese takeaway in Carterton. Tried them all now and all bad. Really old fashioned Chinese food that I used to eat 40 years ago.
We’ve ordered from Peking Chef for delivery to faringdon many times and more recently yesterday for my wife’s birthday- the owner is very friendly and have always had fantastic food. Will be returning and couldn’t recommend more!
