From design and a very reasonable quote, excellent ideas and recommendations throughout, James is extremely proactive. All his team and the specialists they use are friendly, punctual, professional and do a great job. He uses local contractors and suppliers which is excellent. We couldn't be happier with our revamped garage and are working with James planning our next project. Highly recommended 👍

Bought a new (20yo) house and wanted to knock through kitchen and reception to create a large open kitchen space. And have the house decorated inside and out before I moved in. James and his PBS team along with a selection of other high quality local businesses that he recommended completed a fabulous job. The quality of workmanship and attention to detail was exemplary. Every ’unexpected’ turn in the building program was addressed swiftly and effectively and based on outstanding communication. If I could leave six stars I would!

"James was the only person who gave us a truly accurate quote with breakdown of costs and took time to bring his team to site to price different elements of the project. From this initial contact we had a real sense that this was a very considered and methodical approach, which has continued with well planned stages throughout the renovation. Buildings regulations inspections and structural surveys were involved from the outset, James insisting that he had no problem with his work being under the scrutiny of the inspector. All members of the team have been lovely, good humoured and hard working. Communication has been good despite the company being very busy. Changes we’ve made have been accommodated without any issues and we’ve received a lot of good advice on places to source flooring, bathroom products and the kitchen. We’ve had a very good experience and one we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Truly professional work, I’m very glad we decided to use PBS York Ltd."

From the initial quote to the finished article, PBS remained professional, considerate and courteous in their approach. James kept us up to speed with what had been done at the end of each day, what the plan was for the following day and cleaned up after each working day was done. We couldn’t be happier with our extension which looks like it’s always been part of the house! I can highly recommend PBS and have already recommended them to friends and neighbours who have commented on how good our extension looks.

James was one of the 3 builders that quoted, during the quoting process he seemed extremely knowledgeable, he also gave us some excellent ideas that contributed to the final design. James and his team were really friendly and considerate throughout the process and minimised disruption where they could. PBS were an excellent company to work with on our extension and garage project. James and his team work to a very high standard and the fantastic space is better than we could have imagined. The knowledge and attention to detail that James brings made the process easy, he kept in regular contact and came up with design ideas which made the finish even better.
