Stuck in Iowa with no recourse found as yet.
We just had Simple Solar install our panels last summer (2022). Performance is fine, but the company went out of business. Now this summer (2023) we had a bad hail storm. The panels are fine, but the roof must be replaced! The panels need to be removed, the roof replaced and the panels restored. At this time, we have no one to do that. The roofer is Premiere and they are looking into a solution. In addition, we have no one to contact for warranty services. Supposedly, the company has been bought out, but they won't return messages either.
This is a sad, sick, dishonest state of affairs. They had been in business for 10 years with a 4 1/2 star rating. Now they are thieves in the night.

They are not honoring what they explained to me. I was told my main panel was outdated and it was going to get it replaced when I signed.. Then 5 months later time of installation the contractor tells me he's going to put a gma which is a adapter that makes your old main panel work. When I called to get clearification, simple solar pretty much said that is the cheaper route instead of replacing my main panel like I was told.... having these issues this company doesn't reach out to you...now I'm dealing with them, the installation company and the finance company that is already been billing me for 4 months and I still haven't been connected or contacted. Don't trust their reimbursement plan
If I could give 0 starts I would do it, this company has been nothing a huge headache for us, we signed the contract with them since June-2021 today is November 30 2021 and our solar panels have not been turned on yet, they always have amazing excuses, and they do not communicate notes with the city inspectors, also our inspection has been postpone a few times because they have not done the job right and the inspector always finds something that was not done or finished, we have been paying our regular electricity bill and on top of the bill for the loan even though they have not turn them on. every time we call they have a different story. if I could change them I would do it in a heartbeat.

Brandon explained to us that we would not have an electrical bill being the amount of solar panels installed on our home exceeded the amount of energy that was used monthly. That was not the case we called the electrical company and was told that he lied. The panels didn’t produce enough energy to not have a bill. So now we have a solar panel bill and a electrical bill that equals $20.00 more than if I had no panels at all. Plus during the winter when it’s cloudy and the panels aren’t producing as much energy I’ll likely have to pay even more out of pocket. Beware of this company because in the end they subcontract the solar panel company that installs the panels on your home. Simple solar are only a sales team and don’t have any control over the other company ESP. Simple solar will keep referring you to ESP and ESP doesn’t answer their phone and will only tell you that your panels are working correctly. Both companies are very unprofessional. No emails were sent, no one called me from management, this might be the worst solar power company ever.

We received excellent service from the company. The installers were amazing and so kind. They taught me how to operate my system as a whole. It means a lot with me being retired and 84 years young.
Evan Carver & Caleb Matheny are the ones who helped us through the whole solar process. Highly Recommend -William & Cora Ruffner
I highly recommend doing business with Evan Carver & Austin Rich with Simple Solar. From the first interaction with them on my door step, all the way until now. My system has been successfully turned on. The gentleman are very knowledgeable, trustworthy, and personable. This is by far the best experience I’ve had with a construction company. They are the best in Ridgecrest, I highly recommend.
