We’ve been visiting Pasta Allegria for many years for a quick and delicious dinner option or a quick coffee or sandwich in its tranquil courtyard off the Station Street main beat.
What pushed me to write this review was a fabulous pasta making class I recently did with my teenaged son. Six of us were walked through the process of handmaking pasta from scratch - from mixing the dough through to rolling, cutting and making a range of filled pastas. We then relaxed over a delicious meal of more pastas, salad and tiramisu - and prosecco or coffee. It was a fun day out for my son and I and we came away with both the ingredients for a meal with the rest of the family plus new skills and very full bellies. 🥰
Great pasta, woeful customer service.
We had two very frustrating experiences with the company. Ordered a delivery; pasta sauce was missing. Company refused to send out the missing parts to the order. After a week of emailing back and forth they finally credited the missing part of the order to a gift card. I placed a click and collect order with the gift card and when I went to collect, was told it didn’t exist. When I showed proof of payment they made up the order (a meal kit) but when I opened the box it was missing the cheese. I asked if they could add that as it had been paid for. I was told they had no cheese! A pasta shop with no cheese sounded absurd to me. I asked for something to replace the missing cheese but was told nothing was available. It’s a shame that their customer service is so poor (and frustrating) as the pasta is decent. Certainly will not be returning.

Hi Vanessa, the service you received is not up to our standard, so please accept our apologies. We understand that people rely on us for dinner plans, and if execution is not there, it can be very disappointing. We are always trying to improve, and we hope that in the future there will be an opportunity to redeem ourselves.

- Long wait
- $6 for a small soy latte
- No discount for bringing your own cup
- Really weak coffee (especially for $6)
- Barista forgot to put it in my keep-a-cup and when I told them, they just poured it from a disposable cup into my cup. So created the waste anyway. 😮💨

Ordered a takeaway coffee, worst coffee I've ever had in my life. And they don't take cash when I had the exact money. 0/10.

I’ve loved every pasta I’ve tried from here so far, but the Spinach Tagliatelle with tomato sugo, topped with chili oil, was on another level. It was absolutely delicious! I enjoyed it so much that I had it for both dinner and lunch. And of course, I can’t forget their tiramisu, pure perfection! 🤤
