Original review was apart of a competition at the daycare in early days of attendance. Unfortunately our experience changed quite rapidly after this. We honestly wish we had never set a single foot here. Our child was not safe, the procedures and policies are not managed correctly, and we felt issues that arose were not handled well or even taken very seriously by management, until it had escalated to the point we had to immediately withdraw our child due to our stress that she was unsafe. The stress that was caused by this place has led to an overall feeling of being let down of the daycare system and has made me seriously consider if I should send my child to care at all anymore.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Papilio Early Learning Essendon. From the very first day, the educators have gone above and beyond to make our son Austin feel safe, nurtured, and loved. The care, attention, and warmth they show every child is truly heartwarming, and it’s clear they are passionate about what they do. Austin has absolutely thrived since starting here—he’s learning so much every day, forming beautiful connections with his educators and little friends, and always comes home smiling. The communication from the centre is fantastic, and we always feel informed and involved in his development. The facilities are clean, inviting, and thoughtfully set up to encourage learning through play. We feel incredibly grateful to have found such a wonderful daycare and would recommend Papilio Early Learning Essendon to any family looking for a caring, supportive, and enriching environment for their little one

When we looked for safe hands to hold our little one’s care, Papilio stood out from other day cares in the amount of space it provided, amenities, the friendly staff and the whole setup. It has been more than a year that our little one has been attending Papilio and we have never regretted choosing Papilio despite how painful it is to leave our little one in someone’s care. The staff are friendly and approachable, and pay individual attention to every child understanding their needs and routines. Our little one has developed a lot of independence on a day-to-day basis. We never had to worry about the food as all foods are prepared with special care and catering to the dietary needs of individual child. Constant updates on a friendly app and immediate response on the phone are added advantages to leaving our child in Papilio and provide a sense of safety. Thank you Papilio for your amazing work! I highly recommend Papilio for anyone who is looking for a safe haven for their children.

I am incredibly pleased with Papilio Early Learning Centre in Essendon my son attends! The space is bright, spacious, and well-organized, making it a comfortable and welcoming environment for all the children. The staff members are exceptionally attentive and truly care about each child's well-being. They go above and beyond to keep parents informed, providing detailed updates at the end of each day about my child's activities, mood, and progress. It’s so reassuring to know that my little one is in such capable hands. What stands out the most is how much my son loves going to childcare every day. He is always excited in the mornings and can't wait to see his friends and teachers. My daughter has been attending the centre for just under a year now and we have had such a positive experience since the first day. Their days are filled with lots of new activities and outdoor play, and I can see the dedication that each educator puts into their relationships with the children. Attending the centre has been wonderful for her development and she always looks forward to her days there! I would recommend this centre to anyone looking for somewhere caring and safe for their child.

We LOVE Papilio Essendon. We relocated to Victoria from Queensland and were looking for a warm inviting and close knit Childcare Centre for our 2 boys. As soon as I completed our tour I knew this was the centre for us. The facilities are neat and tidy and have lots of engaging toys and activities for the children. The educators are brilliant and warm, both of my boys really enjoy their time at Daycare. "The teachers are Amazing. I love playing with all the Toys and my Friends!" - My 4yr old Boy. 100% Reccomend for anyone searching for a Childcare centre that is more like a Family 🥰

Our daughter is thriving at Papillio Essendon. Due to moving house we moved her just over a year ago from a childcare we loved, but was now too far away. Papillio, from the beginning, have been so nurturing, helpful and communicative. She absolutely loves going to see her teachers and her friends. We have another little one starting in a few months and have zero concerns. We can’t wait to see her thrive too!

This was the worst communication I have ever encountered. No replied to letters or phone calls. If you called, they always said to ask someone (manager level )to call you back, but there was always no call back. It leaves people stuck in endless waiting and confusion.

Best childcare, hands down! It is far for us but our daughter thrived here and the educators are amazing. They are friendly, lovely and our daughter had the best time here. The biggest highlight for us apart from the education is the hygiene. We were so scared that she will be sick the first year but not at Papilio. she hardly fell sick because they keep the center clean. Highly recommend Papilio.

Unfortunately my experience has been unpleasant with this childcare. I had started my son and almost everyday I would receive a call from the daycare asking to pick him up, almost like they just don’t want to deal with him if hes crying or even try to settle him. He comes back home hungry and thirsty. I witnessed an educator accidentally bumping his head on the wall while walking with him, I understand accidents happen but they just lack the care/concentration that they should be giving these kids. When I call to ask about him, every educator says a different response. Overall; I do NOT recommend this daycare for your kids, please don’t waste your time or your kids time as there are better ones around the area.
