The cafe was pretty empty for the most part. There was only ever one table, aside from the one my group was at, being occupied. Personally, I liked that as there wasn’t much competing noise. The cafe was clean and the menus required a QR code which was nice for leaving room on the table. Overall, pretty good experience!

The staff seated us and said nothing. As a first time customer and now probably only time customer I was disappointed that the staff instead of telling us we had to order at the counter (there is a $4 food and drink minimum) they both decided to sit on their phones behind the counter. We were the only customers there it wouldn't have been very difficult for them to tell us when we walked in. The atmosphere was okay the chairs are super uncomfortable and they play the exact same artist over the speakers different songs but the same voice. For the drinks what we got was pretty basic nothing special I could have gotten something that tastes the same for cheaper at a McDonald's.

DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY OR TIME. Place is very dirty and food was awful. The games are not in good shape and no new ones have been added for quite a while. It was a Terrible experience overall.

This place likes to take advantage of staff & not pay them. Poor way to run an establishment. Highly suggest avoiding them at all costs.

Came with a group of friends for some food and games. There is a large assortment of games here, both old and new and are in good conditions. Would be nice if shelves were organized a little better to make it easier to find games. The food was very good, came out fresh and made really well. Prices are very reasonable too, good value for those looking for a cheaper night out. Will be back again!

Had a great time, the owner was very attentive. Loved the decorations, plenty of parking, food pricing was good, boardgame selection was satisfactory. Definitely recommend.

I wanted to go someplace nice with my friends and wanted a nice dessert, my favourite, strawberry waffles. I specifically asked for no syrup 3 times, and what did they add? You guessed it… strawberry syrup. I really wanted to play ‘The Game of Life’ board game. All 3 copies of the game were dirty, the boards themselves were torn or broken, and cards and game pieces were a mess. In my opinion, this establishment is not worth your time. I would recommend considering other options.

Brown bits in the water, milkshake was watery like mentioned in a previous review. A lot of games are broken down, dirty and not maintained or organized to the point they are unplayable. Service was also incredibly slow, no one took our order until 30 minutes in despite it being not busy at all. Recommend checking out other board game cafes.

The service was incredibly slow and it took a very long time for our food/beverages to come out after we ordered when it wasn’t very busy at all. As well, the selection of board games was limited compared to other similar board game cafes. The food itself was average, in my opinion. I would recommend going to other similar businesses in the area.

When this place was Crossroads it was always busy and full, and it’s clear now why this place was abandoned when I went. A lot has changed since the renovations and I’m assuming new management took over. The music was too loud, almost every game we tried to play was missing instructions or pieces. I was there with a group of 4 people and we were the only ones there the entire night and the server still didn’t take our order for almost 45 minutes, and then completely forgot one persons food and drink, and then never came back to take more orders or check on us. They’ve replaced the booths that used to be there with cheap, flimsy, uncomfortable tables and chairs. I loved the place when it was Crossroads, this was my first time going when it’s now Pair A Dice and I won’t be going back.

One of the worst places I’ve been.. ever! The selection of games is horrible, and in our case an essential part of the manual was missing! We ordered a matcha late and it was a radioactive green - nothing like match and It tasted like hot water.

I booked a table for 5 people for my husband's birthday. This place is very easy to find and they have a good selection of games. Pricing is great and they have a lot of menu options including vegetarian and vegan options. The service from the start was good but we noticed a few things while we were there. We requested a table at the back close to the large shelf of games. We ordered fries for our table and noticed it took a while to come out. As the evening went on, we noticed that it took a while for all of our food to come out. We realized there was only one person serving several tables. I don't know who the owners were but there were two men who we only saw at the venue beginning and at the end. I don't want to make assumptions but it seemed that the two men left the girl by herself to serve several tables which would be IMPOSSIBLE to manage even if you have several years of experience. Highly unprofessional so I would suggest that they hire an additional server and they themselves serve customers which is normally how it works. The young girl who served us did well. Considering she was the only one working, she did a great job with our orders and she was extremely professional. If you are looking for a place wtih good food, this may be be it although the fries were great. I had the cup pizza which was okay but didn't have much flavor. We ordered the love potion drink which was good. Overall, I would recommend this place but keep in mind the that service is subpar because there was only one girl working.

AVOID! Now obvious why it was COMPLETELY empty! Mediocre drinks, sneaky policy, dusty games and dirty floors. Although the selection of games was fairly good and the cafe was spacious, we are very unlikely to choose this board game cafe again. To start, it’s $7 cover and minimum $4 for food or drink. We opted for their Monday $5 cocktails that ended up being warm and tasting of questionable alcohol. However, it was only at the end where the worker blamed us for not knowing their policy that it is only $5 IF purchased alongside other mediocre food. To say we were disappointed would be quite the understatement being that the drinks were significantly subpar to any standards. We also had some milkshakes that were watery and somehow also warm. It is possible that we received an off batch of drinks but I would never recommend anything from this cafe. As for the space; the floors were dusty and covered in small bits of leftover garbage. There were many tables but them all being empty should have been the first red flag. The game selection was decent but all the card games we played were covered in dust and left our hands feeling grimey. The cards themselves were in pretty poor condition as well. Overall, would highly recommend going elsewhere!
