The actual jumping and play area were clean.
We had pre booked food only to find there was no where to sit with 3 kids. The toilets were dirty the restaurants was messy and dirty. The bueno ice cream was mixed with a pistachio that my kids would not eat. They had run out of many food options and only the vegan things available. Will not be eating here again. Shame.
I am writing to express my strong disappointment regarding our recent visit to
Oxygen derby.
We traveled all the way from Beeston and paid a total of £57.35 (£46.35 for admission for 2 adults and 1 child, £9.00 for mandatory socks at reception, and £2.00 for a locker) for just one hour of play. Given the cost, we expected a positive experience, but the visit was extremely disappointing for our family.
Major areas of the facility were closed or restricted during our hour:
- My 5-year-old daughter wanted to use the slide, but was told she could not unless she participated in a competition with much older children.
- Once the competition ended and the slide was completely empty, a staff member informed us that the area was closing for a while. It was never reopened for the remainder of our time slot.
- The staff felt overly restrictive and unwelcoming, constantly staring and blowing whistles at guests.
Instead of an enjoyable outing, we paid £57.35 for an hour that left our young daughter upset because she was prevented from using the slide.
Given that key areas of the facility were unavailable during our paid time slot never visiting this place ever again.. I mean we payed £57 just to jump on those trampoline apart from that we couldn't use anything.

Been at oxygen for a birthday party and the experience was awful. While we were told to come early for their saftey briefing and check in, there was no saftey briefing.
After that upon arrival in the cafe , tables were full of empty plates and cups and nobody was bothered to come and clean. We had to do it in order to have enough space on the table.
At the counter , just one person. And was sloooow! She had no ideas of the ingredients of thei products and no one seemed to lnow wich makes all the alergen poster usless.
Then we go to the party room. They had to cleen the room but a robot does a better job . Service was slow again i person bringing just two plates at a time and 2-3 minutes apart.. so it took about 30 minutes to get enough food for all the kids. About 45 minutes later.. he was still bringing stuff.
Asked for a manager and got someone in the kitchen acting like a manager..

We visited yesterday and had such a brilliant time. The place was clean, staff were friendly and helpful, and there was loads of space for everyone. The kids loved all the different trampolines and activities—felt safe and well‑supervised too. Good fun, reasonably priced, and we’ll definitely be coming back!
My son had his 8th birthday here along with ten of his friends and they had an absolute blast. Everything was well organised, clean, and good value for money. Hannah was our party host, supported by Izzy, and both were fantastic. Would highly recommend.
Photos on the oxygenactiveplay.co.uk are misleading! The softplay is subpar, very small and extremely limited in features. If you're looking for a decent softplay area for small ones this is one to avoid. The ball pits by ball pit standards were practically empty, you could see more floor mat than balls and colourful equals white, yellow and blue. The void areas under the *multi-level* climbing frames were dirty and smelt bad with thick layers of dust, food wrappers and odd socks creating a stench. The voids had probably not been cleaned in what looked like months if not from the start of the venue opening. Cleanliness of the softplay is definitely not a priority. The staff on the floor were not engaging and looked like they would rather be elsewhere.
We had our son's birthday party here today and our host Chloe was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure the party was a success. I want to also thank the manager who stepped in to rectify the small error made in our booking. My family thanks you for making our kids special day truly special.
