Visually Impaired experience
My son is visually impaired, we were extremely impressed, after purchasing our tickets the staff had already radioed ahead. He was offered touch tour experiences of numerous sculptures and also spoken commentary which made his visit very inclusive, none of which we requested.
We are not members of English Heritage but had seen a documentary on Osborne House prior to visiting. My son was invited to touch but then quite funny as other members of the public thought they could do the same but absolutely not.
We are members of the National Trust and, although we have had positive experiences, nothing like this for my son. He can quite often feel a little bit excluded as often too dark for him to see so 'hats off to the staff at Osborne House'.
I do work for Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind so really appreciate when someone or an organisation goes 'over and above' - thank you π
Selling a family's prized home is never an easy task especially if the home has not been kept in the greatest of shape. But when one is faced with selling the home in the investor market, the stress can be overwhelming. Always wondering if you are being taken advantage of or are you exercising your best option. I knew very well how much work my Dad's home needed and was just not in the right place to take on much less accomplish such a project, not to mention the rather large budget it would take. I reluctantly approached Osborne homes about their possible interest in Dad's dream house turned my nightmare. Kristin immediately put me at ease and began asking me about my situation. She seemed sincere and genuine and fortunately there was interest so we began to move forward. It ended up taking a lot more time and stress than any of us anticipated and more than once I was close to bailing. Kristin was always there to listen to my frustrations and empathize with me. She was always professional and compassionate, never pushing to sway me either way. She and Osborne offered me an option I did not have and we are all grateful for that option. Most important to say, Kristin has been a key presence and energy in bringing our deal to fruition. Thank you Osborne and especially Kristin. She deserves a huge "atta girl"!
Update 04/09/24: After watching what happened with my Dad's house, I'm very skeptical whether Osborne was totally honest with the new buyer.
Will not stop sending junk mail to my house. Just refuse to stop. Their "info" email does not respond. They get all my requests but refuse to answer.
Why?
if someone does not want your junk mail why would you refuse to take 15 seconds of your life to remove them from your list? And don't take my word for it. Check out all the reviews all over for this "company." They do this to tons of people.
I have emailed Mike Osborn and Matt Mutton personally and they refuse to respond. If they won't do something like remove you from their scam list, do you think you can trust them with something as important as you house? Think about it.
Avoid these people. There are tons of honest companies out there. This is not one.
They sent me misleading communications disguised as a check that was really just an advertisement. Dishonest business practices. I do not recommend.
Creepy company sends out photos of your property. Cease and decist/unsubscribe/leave us alone.
