While my mom’s back procedure three weeks ago went well, our experience with this practice after the procedure has been extremely disappointing. The lack of communication, organization, and respect for our time has been unacceptable.
My mom is 77 and completed the required forms online for her telehealth appointment. Instead of allowing me to assist her with the forms, the practice canceled the appointment. I explained that I could quickly complete anything that was needed, but they refused.
I then spoke with the office manager, David, who told me he would fit us in later that day. We waited the entire day and never received the call. I called about an hour before the office closed, only to be told they could no longer see us. We were then rescheduled for the following week.
Today, our appointment was scheduled for 8:00 AM. At 8:15, we were called and told the doctor had an emergency and was running late. We were told that since we were the first appointment, we would be seen when he returned. That was understandable.
However, by 11:00 AM, we still had not heard anything. When I called, I was told the doctor was seeing other patients and that our appointment had been moved to 11:30 AM. We were originally the first appointment of the day, so I don't understand how we went from being the first appointment to being placed behind other patients without anyone communicating that change to us.
Things happen, and emergencies happen. We completely understand that. What is unacceptable is the repeated lack of communication, follow-through, and consideration for our time.
This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a medical practice. When you are caring for a 77-year-old mother recovering from a procedure, you should not have to repeatedly call the office just to find out what is happening with an appointment.
The procedure may have gone well, but the care and customer service afterward have been incredibly frustrating and very disappointing.
I am a fairly new patient. When I first came in I was greeted quite warmly by the staff. I was particularly impressed by all the different staff members and how they each have their own things that they handle. And, of course when Dr. Gandhi came into the examining room he was very friendly and was so knowledge and professional. He wanted me to have a complete MRI of my spine. I was so impressed with his request. You see, I had a horse accident when I was 51 and I also have had eight prior surgeries on my back and neck. So, I am very familiar with different surgeons and procedures. I knew that his asking for a current MRI was exactly what was needed. And, what I was originally told that I had one fractured vertebrae. When the MRI report came back it showed that I actually had four fractured vertebrae. Dr.Gandhi was right on the money. I would never have known that and neither would anyone else have. At that moment I knew that he was the best surgeon I could have. It is vital that I feel comfortable and secure with my surgeon. I am 74 years old now and I have been through a lot. These things are very important to me. Dr. Gandhi treated me with such professionalism but, with a heart. You really don't find that often. When I went in for my follow up he explained the surgery to me. He had also ordered the perfect brace for me. It turned out to be the best brace any surgeon had given me. It has made a world of difference to me. He also took the time to explain things to me. He did not rush me and showed me that the questions I had needed to be answered and he did just that. There is not enough good I can say about him. He is in a class by himself. I so appreciate the fact that he was referred to me by my pain management doctor. And, Dr. LaSalle gave him the highest reference you could give someone. I would not hesitate one bit to go back to him if I required any more surgeries for my back. I would personally recommend him to anyone and everyone. He is the best that I have ever gone to. And, I have had many other surgeons.

Hi, Carla. Thanks for your review. Glad to hear you had a great experience.
Dr. Sadrameli is a wonder physician and a better person. We drove from Gainesville to Orlando just to be seen by him. His office assistant Lynette was very helpful answerd phone and emails in record time. Highly recommend this group. Thank you for helping my husband feel better and get back to living.
Dr, Ghandi is an amazing neurosurgeon. My wife was a patient of his and performed her surgery with the utmost of care and professionalism. He listened to and addressed every concern of hers and then some. My wife feels so much better today because of him. I cannot recommend him enough. His staff, especially Nicole, are all top-notch and some of the best I’ve ever encountered. On top of the great care you receive, his office has a great view.

Thanks for the stellar review, Jeff.
I feel like the Dr didn't listen to anything I had to say. I feel like he is forcing me to go get shots, when I deeply expressed I have a issue with them and informed him of the issue I have. He just didn't care. Drs really don't listen to the patients anymore. I'm almost 50 and I've lived in Florida now for a few years, and I feel like I should travel back to Ohio, to be seen at Ohio State. Living in pain and Drs don't want to help people anymore, and I know it's not my insurance, I have excellent insurance. So what it all comes down to, is Drs anymore just don't care. I've also proceeded to tell him, about my migraines and seizures. And believe that the problems in my neck, very late to the extensive migraines that I have, everyday living in pain is horrible and you go to a doctor to get help and they just brush you off to another doctor and want you to do injections and all this other stuff, when you expressly tell them that you're highly uncomfortable with what you went through previously at another doctor and explained in grave detail what that doctor did to Dr. And he just proceeds to blow it off all it was in the past and everything no need to worry you're okay here I trust this other doctor blah blah blah. Yet again the healthcare system with doctors, patience are unheard. And we all know that these are automated responses of saying oh I'm sorry for your bad experience and blah blah blah it's not the actual doctor that goes through the reviews and reads them or anything like that it's just an automatic response so we know in return that nothing will be done or said to you as a patient when you're leaving these review and a follow-up or anything horrible experience at this doctors I don't know what else to tell people but stay away from this doctor. Do your research before you go to any doctor please.

Thank you for sharing this. I’m sorry you left feeling that your concerns weren’t heard — that isn’t the experience I want anyone to have here.
Patient privacy prevents me from discussing any specifics publicly, but I read every review personally and would like to hear more.
Our approach is to exhaust conservative options before considering surgery, and part of that is making sure patients understand and are comfortable with the plan. When that doesn’t come across, I want to know.

Dr. Fortes and his colleague cared for my mother during two separate inpatient admissions at AdventHealth, performing kyphoplasty on both occasions. From start to finish, the care was exceptional. The procedures went very well, and the physicians took the time to keep both my mother and our family informed every step of the way.
I also want to recognize Vanessa Wise, the care coordinator, who has been one of the most compassionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated healthcare professionals I have ever encountered. She went above and beyond to help us navigate follow-up care, coordinating referrals for rheumatology and endocrinology and keeping us informed throughout my mother's hospitalization. Given the long wait times and difficulty securing appointments with specialists, her guidance, persistence, and genuine concern made an enormous difference during a very stressful time.
The entire team treated my mother with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. I am incredibly grateful for the outstanding care she received and highly recommend Dr. Fortes and this practice to anyone in need of spine care.

Thank you
Regretful and devastating experience
My spinal fusion performed by Dr. David Rosen on July 22, 2022, was a horrible decision. Since the surgery, my pain has intensified significantly, with constant nerve pain and a complete loss of mobility. The lack of follow-up care and the dismissive attitude when I expressed my concerns only made things worse. This experience has completely ruined my quality of life. Avoid this Surgeon at all costs.

Dr Wilson is the best!
I knew my back was bad and other doctors we’re pushing a complete fusion
Dr Wilson Said there was definitely other options that might be very successful
He did a decompression and foraminotomy
And immediately my pain of many many years was relieved my recovery was quick. I feel better than I did 20 years ago.!
I highly recommend this doctor.
His manners are wonderful. He’s very compassionate. It doesn’t rush in the appointment. The hospital that he used and all the staff were wonderful. It was one of my best 17 surgeries!!
I would recommend anyone to Dr Sadrameli he takes his time in explaining everything and treats you like his own Family I have Chiari malformation and he suggested no surgery for it that there is no need for it at this time. He also did lower back decompression surgery on me and it has helped me feel better thank you Dr. Sadrameli.
Dr Chandan Reddy is thoughtful, patient and knowledgeable about options and processes. He is well connected to other specialists and quick to share referrals as needed. I also love that surgery is last option instead of wiick.

We truly appreciate your kind words and positive feedback—thank you so much!
Without hesitation the staff at Dr. Field's office is by far the most professional and easiest to talk to and that includes Dr. Field. He performed decompression surgery for my TN a year ago I had no issues at all and it went very smooth. (Sorry I thought I left the review then) I recommend him 100%

Hi, R. Thank you for sharing!
Excelente trato de parte del personal desde que uno llega a las facilidades. Dr. Fortes nos explicó a través de una interprete la condición y prueba inicial para proceder con un Angiograma Celebral. Mi agradecimiento por toda su atención.
