Carlos is a good place to stop by with the new location at Times Square. The old one at 8 and 42 is starting to decline. Guess that one will go away or close at some point.
Theybuse to serve gran riservia coffee by lavazzo but decided to downgrade to the presidential coffee...not a huge deal but not a good move.
Choices are nice...layout in new store clogs up due to layout but choices are plenty. Pizza option needs to go away....waste to time and money stick to pastries.
My husband and I were expected to go into Carlo’s bakery after watching the show for years. We had gotten a cake from a vending machine once at a rest stop and couldn’t believe how good it was! However, going into this bakery was a different experience. First, the place was filthy. Standing at the counter and eating our food I was grossed out by how dirty the counter was. It wouldn’t take long to give the counter a quick wipe down. Also, the brownies we ate seemed very stale. We only ate a couple bites and threw the rest in the trash.
Heaven wrapped in perfect crispy little rolls. I got two cannolis (one for now, one for later) and my son got a ginger bread man and gingerbread man iced latte which he likes. Service was efficient, polite and executed correctly. We got here right before the crowd did so we were lucky to grab seats and enjoy our yummy treats. Made my New York bucket list trip complete.
