I signed up for Optima tax relief approximately one and a half years ago all they did was fax a POA sheet to the ** I found out a year and a half later they had made no contact. They strung me along and kept telling me they were in contact with the *** actively. I am very unhappy with their services. Communication is terrible. I was also stood up by case manager. I had an appointment stayed home from work all day long only to never get a call back. They are inconsistent and they tell you that they are actively working on your case and then only to find out they are not. It has been a very disappointing and stressful experience and very, very costly for me in every way. Dissatisfied and I feel I deserve a refund. It was that bad. ***** ******
Please save your time and money these people will scam you and give you every excuse not to refund your money. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE BETTER OFF CALLING THE *** YOURSELF. **************** is very ignorant and rude Ive canceled before the resolution and was still charged $422 that they wont refund . Almost $1000 wasted on the phone to be told information about what I owe that I already knew! Scam scam scam beware

HORRIBLE & EXPENSIVE EXPERIENCE WITH NO ACCOUNTABILITY.I hired Optima Tax Relief to address an *** Audit from 2019 which I disagreed with the *** findings. Many promises were made during the onboarding process (after paying ~$5k). As of January 2025; my case has still NOT been resolved. No "proactive" updates or true explanation how the *** came to their conclusion (or why this remains unresolved for years).On top of that, the collections services" that were promised were NOT RENDERED as my case now stands "IN COLLECTIONS". After a lengthy investigation, there was never any FORMAL' communication or explanation on the findings; nor was I given an opportunity to 'dispute' their findings. Optima essentially took whatever the *** stated as FACT and DID NOT ADVOCATE on my behalf. For the last 5 years, all Tax Returns have been "INTERCEPTED" by the ***; YET the balance I supposedly "OWE" did NOT DECREASEbut rather INCREASE. It would have been better to never have even hired this company.Additionally, Optima (as a courtesy or part of the plan I paid for) handled my 2021 taxes. Just for the *** to find "ERRORS" resulting in ADDITIONAL Tax Problems. Did they interject or offer to help - NO!The only way to communicate with Optima is via their online 'Portal' where you add appropriate documentation. I started uploading Documents that were actually "QUESTIONS" as to what was going on?The *** offers a "Fresh Start" initiative to those who qualify - which Optima did nothing to help me get qualified for such 'RELIEF' and/or 'FOREGIVENESS'. I've since hired a NEW Tax resolution company (paying another ~$5k) who completed their investigation in 2 weeks; and already moved into the Resolution phase seeking to qualify me for the FRESH START INITIATIVE. This new company also offers opportunities to speak youre your case manager at any time. I REQUESTED A REFUND FROM OPTIMA (AT LEAST A 'PARTIAL' REFUND) FOR THE LACK OF RESOLUTION; BUT AGAIN, NO RESPONSE.
Worse decision I've ever made. Everyone avoids you, they're very bad at communication and never provides an update on my case. Each team I've spoken with over the past year has been the exact same even though they claim the current team is better. Once your paperwork expires from them ignoring your case, they'll blame you and they still never call you. I've been hoping for help for a year, requesting supervisors, case managers and someone knowledgeable to call back but they never do. I've been getting threatening letters from the *** and the advice given from Optima (once explained on an hour long call to get help) is worse than the letter. Then they tell you to ignore the letters, which causes more problems as ive experienced. **************** appears to mean nothing to this company and once they get your money, you're out of luck. Quality of auditing the calls never happen and I'm very disappointed that a company that claim to have an A+ rating could care so little about reviews, the customer and customer service. Every call goes the exact same way once you reach a rep.This company has lost all my trust. If I could get a refund, I would and take my chances with the *** themselves. I haven't seen or heard progress, or positive feedback.

I am a single person, i have no one to reach out to help. I depended on Optima to assist with my taxes. They charged me 7000 dollars and I still owed the same. I could have worked it out with *** myself. That was 7000 dollars I could have paid the ***. I'm so disappointed, I really put my trust in this company. I'm am financially ruined at this point. They put me in a worse position. I am not able to afford the monthly installment they set up. I pleaded with them to try to get it lowered. But they simply said they done all they can do. For 7000 dollars, i expected a better resolution. I work hard and I didn't really have that money, and now I'm ruined. The first ******* was very rude to me and not compassionate at all. I deserve a better resolution. Your advertising is very fraudulent. I wish I had never chose this business, I am having to now do the work with the *** myself to try to come with a better resolution, what I could have done in the first place. The resolution is not affordable to me and I can't afford that. They don't care. They already have my money. ****** ****
