Almost 2 weeks later, still can't get my MRI results to my surgeon. I call every day and get the same response. Had I gone to Providence, I would have had my results in the same day. Never again will I go here!
I already have anxiety, so I was really nervous going in. The front desk staff were professional and easy to talk to. Chris was doing the MRI. He was professional, nice, and calming. He explained what was going to happen and how long it would take. He gave me headphones and asked what genre of music I wanted. He can also talk to you through the headphones and he can hear you. The machine is loud and banging like a hammer. I breathed through that while listening to music. Also you are not in an enclosed tube! Which is amazing. I highly recommend. I had to edit this. I forgot one more thing. I have vertigo when laying flat on my back. Chris was awesome and gave me a pillow to help. I don’t think I could have tolerated laying flat for more than 5 mins. Thank you Chris!
I hate to give this place a 1 star review because the technician I worked with for MRI was awesome. I couldn't have really asked for a much better experience at the appointment. The reason for 1 star is that I had an MRI on February 27th and was told it would be about 4 days to get my results sent to my doctor. Today is March 14th and still nothing. The first call to check on status I was told the radiologist was behind and it was scheduled to be released in two more days. Three days passed, another call and I'm told results were scheduled to be released the next day. That was 4 days ago. Just called and was told they're not sure when I should expect my results because the radiologist has a number of backlogged cases waiting. Today is March 14th! I honestly don't know who they are farming these images out to but clearly I got the worst radiologist of the bunch. I don't know that I even trust the reading of the results at this point. Someone with this poor of professionalism probably SHOULDN'T be trusted. Sorry Open Advanced MRI but this is a really bad look after an initial positive experience.

I had my MRI in this place. The staff are nice and friendly.
I paid my CO PAY right up front $420 before the procedure. And the cashier says this is the only amount I'm going to pay.
I did my MRI last year of June2024. Now February 2025 I recieved a bill for the amount of $342.50
This experience was so much better than I hoped for! Chris, the technician, was very professional but also warm and engaging. I fought getting a regular MRI because of claustrophobia, but researched and found this amazing option so close. Yes it’s noisy, yes you have to stay still but overall, it was very doable and you knew Chris was watching out for you if you needed help. If I ever need another MRI, I will have it here!

if I could leave a lower score I would. Not ADA accessible. Inattentive staff at the front desk. Overcrowded waiting room with mismatched furniture that is not accommodating for walkers or wheelchairs. Rude imaging staff. Inadequate supplies to support a patients body for the positioning needed to complete the tests. Rude office staff named Sunshine that argues with patients and then lies about to connect with her supervisor. Not a true open MRI.
Do not use! It takes them forever to provide report to Dr. I paid out of pocket to have a quicker experience, but they are delinquent in provinding report to my Dr. Take your business elsewhere, especially if you are in pain and need quick results. I have been lied to about when the report would be ready multiple times. DO NOT USE.
Open Advanced MRI is great, Chris the MRI tech went above and beyond and he got me through two brain MRI's one with and one without contrast in the same session. This was my second time coming here and I luckily got Chris twice. The machine is open on all sides, brain MRl's are tricky they basically lock your head down but Chris took the time to show me that I could easily take the cage off or slide out if I panicked.
They gave me sedation which helped as well. I wouldn't have been able to get through it without Chris and how he took the time to really make me comfortable. I'd ignore the "bad reviews" of people not paying attention to the costs associated or the failure. If you move you fail as simple as that and it's not their fault if you're squirming. Sit back relax, GET THE SEDATION, and trust the process. Yes it's loud but they give you plugs to where it's not an issue. The 30min check in before is to let those meds get to working BEFORE you hit the machine. I couldn't last a single second in a regular MRI machine before my body panicked. I've been able to get through 3 brain MRI's now, that's something I never thought I could say.

The staff is great. Everything was easy and they were very helpful. I gave 3 stars because the images off the mri are not very detailed to my untrained eye. If you're just looking to check for fractures,disc issues or large tumors you should be ok.
If you are scared of MRIs this place will not be better than the standard tube. They advertise it as a better option. It’s not! The machine is actually louder than the tube. The only difference is they will charge you for not being able to finish a MRI. This will not solve your MRI anxiety and will cost you 250 dollars making you feel worse about yourself. If you can handle a MRI get it done anywhere else as I been told the quality of MRI is worse here, they also charge up front which no other hospital does for a MRI.
I had an MRI in January and the only reason I chose this is they were supposed to scan my entire spine in one session and I didn't want to be in a smaller tube for that long. However, they only scanned my neck area and scheduled me for another scan a few days later.
They also required my entire Medicare deductible upfront. After my procedure I learned that they are not supposed to do this but rather need to wait like all the medical providers and bill me appropriately when Medicare and my secondary pay everything at the end of the monthly billing period.
They admit to owing me a refund and continue to string me along about paying it. Actually telling me on two different occasions "The check is in the mail"
Now it's June and I'm still out my money I paid in good faith.
And, my Neurologist said the scans were the worst he'd ever seen and generally they don't recommend this place to anyone. Had I known it could have been two different scans I would have gone to the hospital or the Rayus place.

over all it was a great experience when it came to do the contrast I didn't even feel the needle the tech really knows what he's doing amd he was very accommodating to my needs when it came to with wearing earplugs or headphones while playing musing I chose just earplug. as I mentioned before it was just an over great experience so thank you open advantage mri Portland!!!! I will most definitely recommend this place and will be come back if another mri is needed

This is the second time that I've used open ended MRI. I couldn't have been more pleased and relaxed and totally happy with the technician Chris. He was so accommodating and ready to assist if I needed it. They are by far the best. A number one in my book. Veronica was extremely helpful and explained questions I might've had. Failed my MRI
Their
machine still very closterphobic and extremely loud and they still charged me
even though I could not make it through the procedure. I will have to find a new location that is less chosterphobic and provides quality hearing protection. I do not recommend.
all my fears and doubts vanished. Once I walked through the door. These are very professional well qualified individuals that work here I’m super pleased. It was no worries on my end along with my faith in the Lord and pray before you go in. You’re in good hands, I highly recommend if you have the need for an open MRI, here’s a place to go. . footnote here, I’ve had several situations in my life that required me to consider the pros and cons. I’m a cancer survivor and there’s enough stress with that alone, but I’ve had many many other situations in my life. Many many hospitals stays in going through the Tigard location with open MRI was the most relaxing experience, I’ve had in a long time, so be assured if you need lotta TLC and professionalism and peace of mind and peace of heart, here’s a place to go

Doctor said the MRI image is too low resolution to make confident diagnosis, so I regret going here. Recommend asking about the machine specifications, then asking your doctor if it's good enough for their purposes.
I gave a star back since the radiology report was consistent with that of a second MRI I got, despite image artifacts in the first MRI.
