First Time at Old Town Malaysia Café Tried the Wan Ton Mee, Wat Tan Hor, and Fried Carrot Cake. The food was delicious, with flavors that reminded me of classic Singaporean street food—simple, comforting, and full of nostalgia. Portions are just right for one person. A great spot if you’re craving traditional tastes in a cozy setting.

Happy with the wanton noodles but fried radish was disappointing. Still have to come back and try out other dishes next time.

Ordered the popular choice - wan tan mee for lunch today. The taste is superbly good, almost close to back home. Roast pork is succulent and nicely prepared. Served with wantan soup. Free Chinese tea. It is Sunday lunch so a bit long wait but worth it. Smell fried kuey teow coming from kitchen which is very tempting.

This is a good restaurant to have a quick bite or a proper meal, it offers quite a vast variety of dishes on the menu.

I ordered through Uber Eats, but unfortunately, one of the main dishes was missing upon delivery. When I called the restaurant to address the issue, I was told to either reorder through Uber Eats or request a refund, as they couldn’t deliver the missing item. While this is understandable, we had hoped for a more proactive and accommodating response from the restaurant. By the time we realized the issue, it was too late for a refund, and ordering from elsewhere was impractical. Reluctantly, we agreed to pick up the dish ourselves. Given that we had already paid for delivery, we expected the restaurant to acknowledge the inconvenience and offer a small gesture to compensate for the trouble. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. It’s disappointing when a business fails to understand that small acts of goodwill can go a long way in retaining loyal customers. Instead, we felt overlooked and left to deal with their mistake without any effort on their part to make amends. To make matters worse, the dish we picked up—the wat tan hor—was not up to standard. It was overly gluey, suggesting it had been rushed during preparation. The restaurant wasn’t even busy when we arrived; only one table was occupied, and the staff seemed quite relaxed. This experience left a sour taste, especially on Boxing Day. While I might give the restaurant another chance after some time, it’s hard to forget the sense of being let down and undervalued as a customer.

Love the laksa soup noodles. Not much of a service. But the atmosphere is quite nice. Not too convenient as there's no parking.

Portions aren't the best. Had read in other reviews but thought we would try. Ordered the nasi Lamak and mee goreng. First came with 3 tiny bits of mostly bone chicken...not much flavour to the noodles. Service was friendly though.

We ordered Mee goreng and Singapore fried Vermicelli. Mee goreng was ok, nothing spectacular, had better ones here in Auckland. Sg fried Vermicelli is way better than the mee goreng and it's worth ordering again. Though we were not sure if what we got is really sg fried vermicelli. Their "Sg fried vermicelli is not the usual with the curry taste. Serving is not that generous. We still going to try other items on their menu.

I have been there before and food was ok. Today was pretty bad, my nasi lemak tasted like it had been made a few days earlier. The rice was dry and it didn't look great. Same with the very bland chicken noodle dish.

This place is magic. From the tea through to the famous dishes- go!
