I was treated very poorly when I came in to ask if I could get help getting a hold of the staff member Laura Munoz who had called me to come in for an employment-related appointment at 9:30. I was there at 9:15, and the lights were off. No one was answering the phone or the doorbell. I waited a bit then went to the school to see if they might be able to get a hold of someone. Well before I was even able to speak the older heavy set white woman with red hair (about in her 50s) right away gave me an angry look for walking through the door and sitting down. It felt as if I was very unwelcomed and this was before I even said anything. She started saying she couldn’t help me right now in an aggressive manner and I was trying to reply but she interrupted me and loudly said I need to “keep my voice down” even though I was speaking in an even tone of voice and I was in high spirits and initially was feeling positive in good faith. This quickly deteriorated as she continued to yell and berate me for replying to her. She claimed I was being loud while people were testing but she was nearest to the door (which was closed) to where the testing room was. She continued to be extremely rude and accusatory about my tone and demeanor. I told her I was feeling disrespected and discriminated against since I was only trying to answer her question. She said I was being loud and there were people testing (who were in a different room with the door closed). I told her if she hadn’t been disrespectful to me she would not have to hear me say anything. I told her I had never been treated so bad before and would report her to my supervisor who had hired me to work in the office (which was closed and why I’d come in to the school to get help in the first place). She said I needed to be quiet and so I started recording her and the other woman who was there there who starting laughing and smirking at me. The first woman apologized to her for my being upset. I told her she should be apologizing to me. I kept trying to explain why I was there but the larger woman behind the counter continued to berate me and tried to kick me out when I’d done nothing wrong. She asked “Do you know who I AM?” As if she was above or superior to me. I told her “it doesn’t matter who you are” because she should not be discriminating against me or berating me due to how I was being treated. The other white woman who was a student was laughing at me in a very aggressive and hostile bullying manner calling me an “jack ass” for standing up for myself and said I was “not acting like an adult” because I was upset about how I was being treated. I told her “I guess being an adult to you is tolerating discrimination”. The larger woman called the police on me and told me “they’re on their way”. I told them “good because I did nothing wrong and the police won’t care” as my voice was shaking throughout crying. I told her I worked at SHA and that behavior would have her out the door because I worked there for 5 years and have never been treated this way. She got on the phone and tried to tell the admin Laura Munoz that I was “yelling and was upset” and claimed she had “no idea why I was upset”. I tried to tell Laura she was not telling the truth since she had her on the phone that I had not been raising my voice, but rather I was being clear and concise. (I am used to speaking confidently and clearly). She called the police on me and told them I was being disruptive and refusing to leave after I had already been telling her that I was hired by the owner. I told her I would make a complaint to the state. She said she was “glad I was recording”. I answered “so am I”. I told her it was not the 1950s anymore and I do not have to allow discrimination or mistreatment for explaining why I’m there. I also refused to leave. I told her I was hired by the owner of the school and of the office and I’m not leaving until I speak to someone in the office about how I am being treated. Laura Munoz (who I had the appointment with) did not show up. She called in sick after I’d already shown up.

I absolutely do not recommend anyone attend this school or go to take an exam. I should’ve read the reviews before I scheduled my test. I had to take the HCA written exam. I arrive on time—10 minutes early, to be exact—and no one is in front to greet me. After a few minutes, a very harsh and ill-mannered woman comes from the back to check me in. She introduces herself as Stephanie and tells me to have a seat. She then proceeds to get extremely close to my face and tells me she is sensitive to fragrance, so could I go into the bathroom and wash it off? Excuse me, lady, really? Anyone who wears perfume usually sprays it on clothes and the skin; it’s not coming off. Would she have liked me to grab a bedpan and scrub myself off in the bathroom? Unbelievable! I like plenty of women enjoy perfume. If you have an issue with fragrance sensitivity, put it in an email or on your website. I would have respectfully obliged. Or perhaps she could’ve just worn a mask? I was in there for all of 30 minutes! Get a grip! She also made rude and disparaging comments about nervousness leading to failure and some other things about HCAS! Way to make someone feel before taking an exam! When we are finally seated for the exam, naturally, I’m a little nervous, as anyone would be to take a test. I put my bag and jacket down at a table and was ready to take a seat when she said, in a very dictatorial tone, NOT THERE! She told me to sit in different areas twice and was very nasty about it. There was only one other person with me to take the exam. I don’t understand why she was so high-strung, neurotic, and controlling. It was not like she had a room full of 25 people to manage! Come on, lady! I have never, ever in my life been treated that way. She was not only rude to me but also to others who came to drop off packages and needed assistance. During the test, she was on the phone, telling someone about the testing process. It was very distracting and so unprofessional. I was going to ask about the CNA classes and enroll, but after this woman’s rude, stern, domineering, and just plain foul behavior, I will never set foot in that place again, let alone take classes there! If you do, I suggest taking some holy water, a Bible, and maybe even a priest to perform an exorcist on that vile, grumpy, and disrespectful woman. Stephanie! I am just a regular human being trying to work and serve our seniors, who need people like me! I did not deserve to be treated like a bother and an inconvenience and like something on the bottom of her shoe! I’m just trying to work and make a difference! She’s a deplorable human! Unnecessary, nasty, and very rude behavior! DO NOT GO THERE! Unless you enjoy getting treated like garbage!

⚠️⚠️⚠️Please!!⛔️⛔️⛔️ don’t go there, don’t make a mistake like us. I wish I can give them less than zero. This place # American CNA healthcare school is Unprofessional, disrespectful, unfaithful and uncaring institutions I have ever seen in the USA, and they don’t deserve that name. It’s against the USA constitution. They steal peoples money, energy and time. It took me a year to schedule my clinical, and guess what they told me they couldn’t get the clinical for me. They reimbursed my money after a year. I could be a great CNA at this time. Shame on them.

This place is unprofessional at all. They playing game on CNA trainers. They have irresponsible reasons to cancel classes, and It’s been two month waiting for my clinical training. When I saw their name, my expectation was unspeakable. After all they have got only the name. I highly don’t recommend to waste your time, money and energy.

Awful. I understand were at the peak of COViD but that doesnt prevent people from being at the desk with tthe phones. Didnt call back for several days despite each day leaving calls and voicemails youre better off going somewhere else because a place that cant teach you to do that cant teach you to wipe peoples bottoms properly. pathetic "Business"

Terribly unorganized. Took me a month to get my CPR card from them, even after calling and talking to people at the front desk 6 times. Huge hassle to sign up for the state test after because they sent my name into the state spelled wrong so I had to petition to get it changed using my birth certificate. Nobody working for the company seemed to know at any point what homework we needed to do or tests or any general layout of the class to follow. Had to miss clinicals to do CPR training because the CPR trainer bailed twice without notice. I know other places are more expensive, but I think this is overpriced for the quality of business. I would recommend you organize your business a bit more and adhere to higher standards. Very disappointed.
