I waited 8 months. I can only urge everyone to stay away from this company. They have no concept of customer service and don't care whether the goods you paid for ever arrive or how long you wait in vain for them. They don't know their own regulations and are overwhelmed by the task of sending a piece of furniture across their own national border. I ordered a lounge chair over half a year ago. Four months later, I was told that it had arrived at their warehouse and that I had to apply for an EORI number so that it could be shipped. That takes four weeks here in Germany ( I wish they had given me this information during the months I was waiting). Suddenly, they said I didn't need the number after all. After weeks without updates and two unanswered emails, they said they now needed the number (which has been given to me in the meantime). After I sent it, weeks passed again without any updates. After I followed up again, they said my number was apparently not valid and that they couldn't ship the chair until it was. You can check online whether the number is valid, and mine is verifiably valid. So I wrote another email asking how we could proceed. No response since then. Update: after my bad review they were motivated enough to finally ship the chair... with the exact same EORI number I gave them months before.

Your order required cross-border customs clearance into the EU, which can occasionally involve different documentation requirements, including an EORI number. It’s clear that our communication around this should have been much clearer and more consistent, and I apologise for the confusion and lack of timely updates.

I’m currently reviewing your order directly with our logistics team so we can resolve the shipping issue and move this forward without further delay. I’ll reach out to you by email today to confirm the next steps, and I’ll personally oversee this until it’s fully sorted.

We bought two Knoll style sofas and a bench and received excellent communication throughout, including brilliant service during the all-important process of choosing fabrics. The pieces are really well made and feel way above the actual price point. Highly recommended, I’ll be buying again.

Nue Modern carries beautiful pieces of modern Italian design. We purchased many pieces and spent over €20k last year to furnish our new home. Most of the pieces arrived as they said they would but there were some that were delayed and that was where the logistical nightmare began. One particular armchair was shipped to us in July 2022. After a few attempts, we finally got the chair. The ottoman, however, has been missing for over a year. There had been a few attempts to deliver the ottoman to our address in Italy, but twice the item was incorrect and not meant for us. Michael from Nue Modern said he would arrange to ship it via UPS to avoid further delay and that correspondence was in March 2023. Since then, I have emailed them again and again to no avail. They have not offered a refund and have not replied to any of my attempts at communication. Customer service is horrid. It’s a pity that they are so disorganized despite the pieces being mostly of great quality.

What can I say about this company. They are amazing to deal with. I had no end of queries about the Melt light fitting I was ordering. No matter how many questions I asked (and there were a lot) the email replies came back to help me with everything I needed. The quality of the product was totally beyond my expectations and is such high spec that you would think it was an original. I even was given information on the best way to fit the light and shown a photo of the light in the home of the owner of the company. I cannot recommend this company enough and for this reason I have returned to purchase again and will again and again Heartwarming to know a company will go the extra mile for its customers. Keep up the excellent service Michael. You have got this so right

I've ordered quite a bit from Nue Modern over the last two years and not only is the quality top notch, the service is excellent, super responsive and unfailingly polite. There are a lot of companies out there who make replicas but Nue Modern really stands out for the quality, service and range of product offering, which includes great vintage design. In addition it also offers much more flexibility in customising finishes and materials and can also make bespoke items. I whole heartedly recommend them to anyone looking to buy replicas.
