Anyone considering Nordic Hair should be reading this review carefully:
I have completed two surgeries which is the worst decision I ever made. Roughly one year after my second transplant, I still experienced some redness. I scheduled a follow-up and they assured me everything was normal. They had a look with their camera and compared different areas. After a couple of months, I still noticed this. I stopped using hair products and shaved my head to let the skin breathe. This is when I saw more clear the damage. I had colleagues asking me about my head which was an awful experience. I contacted the clinic again, explaining this is not normal and I really need help. I sent an email – no response. One week later, I send a reminder and finally gets an answer.
Their doctor reach out even though she is on holiday which I appreciated. I send her pictures and she confirms my view of the redness. Previously, everything was “normal” when I visited the clinic but now they could apparently see the same issue. Why didn’t they say this the first time?
We scheduled an appointment and the doctor confirms there is an inflammation. They also say it seams like I have a sensitive skin. I have a light skin tone which they saw during the first consultation, did they address this as a risk? No!
We agreed that I would try a treatment with cortison. During this treatment, I never heard back from the clinic. Not a single email, text or call, how’s it going? Do I see any difference? Nothing – dead silence, no interest. After the treatment, the redness had gone down from a scale 6/10 to maybe 4/10. I sent an email asking what we should do now – no response. I sent a text to the doctor – no response. Two weeks later, no answer. My patience is over. I have a friend that was semi-interested in a treatment so he sent an email as well. He got an answer within a couple of hours. I called the clinic and was extremely frustrated, why am I not getting any help? Why are you not helping a customer that has paid you twice for your services? We agreed that the doctor was going to call me after the weekend. Did it happen? No. Instead I get an email from a different colleague asking if the doctor has contacted me. I emailed back and said no I’m still waiting. Soon after, the doctor calls me. She explains they have done everything they can and recommend me to go to a specialized skin clinic. I quote, “our knowledge stops here, we cannot do anything else”.
It says a lot how you treat customers when things doesn’t go according to plan. This is my first ever review of a company because I have never experienced anything similar. Hopefully by sharing my story I can help others in similar situations when you are thinking about a transplant. I wish I had read something similar when I made this terrible decision a few years back. They also tried to charge me extra money during my first surgery because I was using a credit card but I refused (in Turkey). Lucky for the clinic, this is a limited space so I cannot cover those details.
For me personally, I need to try something else to repair my damages because the clinic is not interested. I said to them that it could be a good idea for them to learn if this ever happens to anyone else. As it turns out, they don’t care which their actions and lack of empathy illustrates. I understand there is a risk with this type of surgery but the lack of understanding and unwillingness to help is crazy to me. You will have to decide if you are willing to take that risk. They will be happy and smile at you during the consultation and guide you towards their treatments. If something happens after, you can expect this level of help. If I showed this level of customer service in any of my jobs during my career, I would have been fired a long time ago.
