Charged $1400 for orthotics & it really has not helped the problem. I have been wearing them for several months now. I would suggest looking at another provider before you use them.

I saw Dr. Todd Galle and he was excellent. He's in the business of doing what's best for the patient - he used a method to permanently remove my plantar warts when he just as easily could have taken temporary measures that would have caused me to come back again and again (which would end up making him more money). Very professional and nice to see. All of the staff are very friendly and it's a great environment. Couldn't recommend more. Small tip: ask for the cash pay price and compare, I spent $168 cash pay for a procedure that would have been $415 with insurance!

Building is not ADA. Compliant. Doorways are too small and scales are blocking the hallway. The staff was not helpful or kind and exclaims there is nothing they can do since they do not own the building. I was humiliated.

Was told over the phone it would be a $5 copay- ended up charging me over $350 for a 30 minute visit where they ended up referring me to another place. When I called for an explanation of the price difference I was told, “sometimes we don’t receive all insurance information and make inaccurate statements.” That is malpractice the difference between $5 and $350 for 99% of humans is substantial and shows how detached from society insurance and medical facilities are. The place itself was fine but the cost difference is too much to bear. I got X-Rays at my doctors office who said they sent them over to Northwest Xtremeties but they claimed they never received them, forced me to do more after I said I already did them, and charged me $99 for it. Ridiculous, I do not recommend this establishment unless you’re okay with being unsure if the cost given over the phone is going to match the actual bill itself.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Denny Le at Northwest Extremity Specialists in Portland for several years, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. He has made multiple pairs of orthotics for me, all of which have been extremely effective. Dr. Le has a wonderful bedside manner—warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. When I tore a ligament in my toe, he took the time to explain all my options and ultimately helped me heal without surgery, which I really appreciated. His thoughtful, conservative approach and genuine care for his patients truly set him apart. Highly recommended!

Dr. Mah refused to treat my painful plantar wart in office. Told me I can pay for pricey prescription or be referred to a different podiatrist who will surgically remove it. How to know which doctor is willing to help before the visit? I chose the prescription. He said that the company who delivers it would contact me within a day. Four days later I called them to see where the medicine was. They said that Dr. Mah never sent them the prescription! Now almost a week later and I can't get through to the office. And Dr. Mah had me schedule a three week follow up. For what? So I can pay for another office visit where he doesn't help me? Thoroughly disappointed with Dr. Mah and this office.

Best experience I’ve had at a doctor’s office in the three years I’ve lived in the area. From the lady who worked reception to the nurse who did my intake to the technician who helped with my orthotics to the doctor, they listened and they cared. Walked out with relief from my foot pain have a plan for what next steps could be.

What are wonderful experience going to this office. Dr Lee was amazing. We have been to many Dr's and none have given us hope for my husband's feet until today. I highly recommend Dr Lee.

I am a POA for my Elderly Parent ( & have worked in healthcare myself for 31 years) and I cannot Give enough positive feedback about this organization. Not only are their office staff absolutely wonderful, their doctors and Assistance are equally a 10 out of 10. Extremely polite patient kind and informative.

Excellent service Doctor Le gave me excellent service. I had a toenail that grew sideways and caused an infection in an adjacent toe. Doctor Le cut the toenail and prescribed an antibiotic that cured the infection. He also cut my toenails.
Date of experience: 27 November, 2024

Dr Mah is the man! Super helpful, straightforward, no non-sense type guy. Big shout-out and kudos to Preston for helping me fill out medical forms for my work.

The doctor is great but not the accounting dept. At the clinic, The receptionist asked to pay the custom made insole immed. I was overcharged cause insurance paid some therefore I have credits left on my account. It took 11 months and still not getting my money refunded. They are terrible and lousy to refund the money. It’s hassle to reach the accounting dept cause they are super busy. Don’t pay anything at front until get your EOB from your insurance company. This is an awful experience I ever had. Will report to BBB for this incident

I do not recommend them because they took too much of my time, and I still can't get the prescription. The office works with a lunch break, so you should call only during specific times. When I arrived, they gave me a ton of paper to fill out, but in the end, they said just to sign and that it wasn't necessary to complete it. Then what's the point? After the visit, I checked their website and found all the forms available there. I would appreciate it if the office would let me know that I can prepare and fill out the information from home, if possible. Many other clinics already do it this way, just so you know! In the modern world, I think many of us have access to laptops and networks. Patients are interested in making visits as effective as possible. The visit was quite rushed, and the room is outdated and looks shabby. The nail biopsy took more than a week, and I had to call and ask about it, but again, the lunch break is very inconvenient. Finally, I received a result; however, it was just a phone call. Again, why was there no email? After-visit notes, etc. When I asked for details about the result, the caller was not able to answer, but we agreed to send the prescription to a particular pharmacy. That pharmacy usually sends me a text message when the order is ready; usually, it's the same day. But this time, there was nothing. When I arrived there to check, I found out there was nothing for me to pick up. I just reached out to the Cara Beach office to check whether they actually sent the prescription or not, but they forwarded my call to someone who is out of the office for some reason. "Please leave a message." Seriously??? The whole process has already taken more than 3 weeks. I'm glad my problem isn't that urgent, but if you value your time, need help, and want to solve your problem, it's better to choose another place. Sure, they will send me a bill and expect me to pay, but who is counting my wait time and all these useless phone calls?

Experience with medical staff was great, but the office charged a $300 "new patience fee" that was not disclaimed at any point in time (on top of the regular "visit" fee)
