He recommended switching my 13-year-old .net website to a .com, but barely managed the transition and failed to handle even the basics like updating my email addresses. I understand that a full redirect wouldn’t completely erase my SEO authority, but there’s no denying that my site took a serious hit which I was never warned about. When things started falling apart and I was forced to attempt fixes myself because Kevin was MIA, he later admitted he had been receiving alert emails from Google showing I was making mistakes and still never offered to step in or help.
I also paid Navitas $4,800 for an SEO strategy that lacked even the fundamentals. There was little to no internal linking, no proper heading structure, and many of my pages weren’t indexed at all. Backlinks, Google Business Profile optimization, and keyword planning were never even discussed. To make matters worse, my website leads weren’t reaching my inbox for a period of time, and I lost at least six weeks of potential clients. I repeatedly asked for someone to investigate why I wasn’t getting any leads, and was brushed off with a condescending “No, it’s set up properly. Hope this helps!” Once the real issue was finally discovered, he blamed the previous web hosting company.
Kevin promised to follow up with a few changes once he returned from vacation on June 30. It’s now July 2- I emailed him at 8am this morning one final time for help and it is now 3pm and I’ve heard nothing. At this point, I feel like my website is being held hostage. Not only has he failed to fix what he broke, but I’m also left questioning whether I’ll even regain full access to my own site.
I would never recommend Navitas, but if you are a busy small business owner that doesn’t have time to deal with incompetency in other areas of your business, stay far away. They completely dropped the ball, left me hanging, and failed to deliver.
