Excellent all Around My rug from Mughal made it back with me all the from Agra to Los Angeles and it is my most prized possession! I absolutely love their work and even purchased online from them and was incredibly pleased with the process. This is one of the best kept secrets in the world!

My magic carpet Thank you Adil for my beautiful rug. It is even more stunning than I was expected. I ordered my second rug from Adil all over messenger. He is an excellent communicator, and very patient while giving me many examples of possible choices. I am thrilled with the rug which arrived securely bundled up today. Adil had a family weave this rug to my desired size. This work kept a family working for 2 months at this awful COVID times when Indian people are suffering so much. Made with love, prayers and no child labour. Now I am wondering where I can fit another one. Beware, they are so lovely it’s addictive.

Really Good Quality 本当に質がいいです!! I've been to this store in 2019, bought a rug. Because of its quality, I deceided to buy 2nd rug from Japan. With Adil, the owner's kindness, we could smoothly trade.

Again, Mughal Carpets has delivered! The transaction from ordering carpets from Mughal’s website to home delivery has yet again been absolutely seamless. I would not hesitate to recommend Adil and his team at Mughal. This is the 3rd carpet purchase over a number of years - and won’t be the last - we need 1 more!! Payment is via secure PayPal and delivery door to door with a tracked FedEx facility. We are absolutely thrilled with our latest purchase. Thank you so much, Adil and the wonderfully talented village weavers.

Magical, Mystical, Carpets Adil Khan, the owner of Mughal Carpet, is a sincere, upright, and honest person. He is the hub of the wheel of the carpet creation community in Agra. He cares about his weavers and looks after them with parental concern. That all being said, his carpets are unbelievably beautiful. They are so charged, they have the ability to not only transform the room in which they're placed, but also to uplift the vibration therein to astral heights. I speak from experience. And, when I look at those rugs and contemplate how many man-hours went into weaving them - it is staggering, and makes me even more appreciative and very, very happy about owning (two) of them.

Excellent rugs, honest and trustworthy business. Adil Khan has shown himself as humble, authentic, honest and kind with exceptional attention to detail. Mughal Carpet refuses to use child labor, pays fair wages & treats rug making as a spiritual, loving practice. The rugs are made with love and prayer. In turn, the energy in the rug becomes a beautiful part of your home and yourselves. I rarely do commercial reviews but believe it is important for people to know that they are not buying a cheap market rug here, but rather a superior quality family heirloom, handmade fine art which will be appreciated and will appreciate in value over generations. I personally recommend Mughal Carpet to anyone considering purchase of a rug. My first guided visit to Agra included stops at several shops - gemstones, marble, art, etc. and I had absolutely no intention to buy a thing. However, as I learned and looked and listened at Mughal Carpets, I became enchanted and quickly decided on two modest pieces. A 2x3 and a 2x10 hall runner, both in a contemporary ‘baby elephant foot’ style. The rugs arrived a week after our agreed predetermined ship date.

Less than honest. When we purchased our carpet we were assured that Mughal would cover ALL costs incurred in shipping this carpet to Canada. This sounded too good to be true so we went the following day after our purchase and again were told that Mughal Carpet would indeed cover EVERYTHING including Canadian taxes and Import Duties. “Just send us the bill” we were told , you will be reimbursed. Needless to say we sent the bill for $409.00Cdn and were met with silence. Nothing. They obviously have no intention of paying what they promised. The carpets here are beautiful but to say that sales staff are less than honest would be an understatement. If this carpet has to be shipped to your country check to see what import duties, taxes will need to be paid and bargain the price of the carpet accordingly. DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY TELL YOU ABOUT COVERING ANY ADDITIONAL COSTS. THEY ARE LESS THAN HONEST.

Purchased a rug I really love my rug, and the staff seemed very honest and not-pushy. However, really disappointed when I got home and FedEx demanded I pay 17% of my purchase price in import taxes :-( The thing is, I would still have wanted the rug, but I just feel it was a bit underhand not to tell me about this possibility when I purchased. I see its on the receipt but you only get the receipt once you've already paid. So its too late by then. I tried to contact them about it, but they've clearly decided they won't respond to me.

Beautiful Rugs My daughter and I visited this store after visiting the Taj Mahal. The rugs are stunningly beautiful and soft to the touch. There is a nice demonstration on how the rugs are made and you can try it yourself. The employee did not pressure us into purchasing a rug he will show you any size or style they have available. The price is negotiable so no need to go with their first "best" offer price.

I don't know how I got here, but am glad I did We took a Trip Advisor tour of Agra, the Red Fort and Taj Mahal. I don't remember asking to visit a carpet, so much as a pashmina, store, but we were brought here by our guide. We walked in the door, a man was at a loom, and the owner gave an eloquent presentation of the carpet-making process. My friend said he wouldn't mind seeing a few carpet for sale. Scores of rugs, two teas, and a bit of haggling later, and my friend and I bought three carpets. They are hand-made Persian rugs, of Kashmir wool. The quality level is high. The price is right. It's ok to do a little haggling about price. Less than 10 days later, they are in my family room. They look fantastic. I feel great about the experience. The owner is delightful, as is the man you give your credit card to. There was no high pressure sales pitch; almost all of the pressure in my case was internal. The rupee to dollar exchange rate arguably was 1% high. All in all, a near perfect experience I didn't expect to have. I would buy again.

A lovely souvenir Imran and his family gifted us with a demo of how their carpets are crafted, how to understand the value of a hand-made carpet as well as an inspiring story of craftmanship, art and passion for this job. From the very beginning, we felt all the passion that this family puts into this business (and way of life) and despite us not being very much into carpets (we had none at home) we did purchase one and we could not be happier! Imran is highly competent and never pushed us to buy one (or even a larger one), which was a welcome difference from other shops while traveling for several weeks all over India. Thank you so so much!

Loved Mughal Carpet tour! Dec 2019. My friend Deanna and I are from Canada, we spent 2 weeks touring India from Goa to Agar and many places in between. We especially loved our time at Mughal carpet. We had the privilege of seeing 3 experienced weavers make a large rug. Their fingers were a blur tying the many knots to make such a beautiful rug. A friendly young man told us the history of Mughal carpet and explained to us how a rug is made. We saw many different patterns, sizes and colours of rugs. I purchased a long runner for my hallway and Deanna purchased a large one for her dining room. Mughal carpet shipped both rugs to Canada for us. When my runner rug arrived I was in awe of how beautiful it is and how beautiful it looks in my hallway. I know I'll have it for many years to come because I know that lots of love and happiness go into the creation of every rug. Thank you so much!

Lovely people and a very fair price My wife and I visited Imran at his shop late September 2019. Imran was a lovely man with a gentle soul and did not treat us as walking cash machines Being westerners this unfortunately happened to us in many other establishments that we visited. Many of the other shops were actually quoting us prices on carpets that were far less expensive to buy in the UK. Imran however did not treat us as fools and was a true gentleman with fair prices. We bought two carpets from him, a geometric 6 X 9 in black and russet colours and a 10 X 2 runner in a turquoise green. We are extremely happy with both rugs. We will definitely purchase from Imran again and thank him sincerely for his patience with us. We wish him and his family every success for the future.

Wonderful service Amazing work. Best carpets around. Kasin took time to show us the entire process of how his family makes the carpets. So much work and detail go into the making of these ethical carpets. Would highly recommend

Mughal Carpets I had an amazing experience. From the moment we walked in they taught us about the rich history of Persian rug making and how important family is to this business. The rugs are made with passion and take months of hard work. I am very happy with the rug that I purchased and I know that it will last me a lifetime and more!

Beautiful carpets and such friendly staff We think of this business as the Magic Carpet Shop after our lovely experience with Adil, his brother Imran, and their staff. It is a cool and calming place to choose a new family heirloom. I can see why they win awards from Trip Advisor every year! The carpets are all traditionally hand made, fair trade, no child labour, and are stitched immaculately. I learned a lot about how to tell a real carpet from a machine made one, and my feet had a great time ;) The brothers are not at all pushy, the prices are fair, and DHLshipping means that I don't have to schlepp it home myself or spend half my holiday working out how to post it home. And the colours! I'm a fabric and pattern freak, and appreciated the big range - from traditional Persian reds to contemporary boho aqua to black and tan modern - in all the sizes, plus some ridiculously beautiful wall hangings thick with precious stones. Adil and Imran managed to turn what could have been just a trip to a rug shop into a full-blown experience, complete with milky chai, laughs, very kind hearts, and a piece of India we will treasure forever. Oh, and they arranged transport for us to get there too :))

Wonderful trip! Went here after tips from our local guide. What they do here is a traditional work with good values. And it was really showing that the store owner really cares for their product and traditions. Would recommend a visit for those who are interested in a bit of history about traditional hand craftship.
