Quiet and restful.
☺ Our warm reception included a fresh loaf of banana bread. And the apartment was restored to its 1800s furnishings and looked after proudly by the host.

☺ The host was extremely friendly and warm. He baked us a banana bread and provided snacks. The house is a very cute Victorian era house, it was clean and we felt safe.
There was an iron, a hair dryer, clean towels and even shampoo and conditioner. I was pleasantly surprised.

☺ We really enjoyed our stay here. Gary is a great host, and we had inspiring conversations with him. While fitting the appartment he absolutely thought of everything; you just need your luggage (=clothes) to stay here. The rooms are fondly furnitured - it's such a joy to walk through the flat and look at all the details.
Even the fridge was filled with some softdrinks and fruits, and Gary's legendary banana bread tastes yummy!

Beautiful apartment and very helpful owner with everything needed for a great stay.
☺ The location was very central. The owner was so helpful, stayed up late to greet me and show me the apartment. There were all the amenities I needed in the apartment and it was very comfortable.
☹ The stairs are steep going into the property.

stairs are normal and up to code. for some out of shape it may be a but difficult

Gary is a great host. The apartment had everything you will need for a stay. Gary went out of his way to give us recommendations and even made banana bread. I would highly recommend staying with Gary if you are in the Poughkeepsie area

Host was friendly. Gave us a tour the the house next door which he plans to develop into additional units. He is very skilled on several fronts as he plans to restore these old houses, and then down the road might offer electric bike rental, BBQ, and other things. He also is a skilled cook, and made us a lovely fruit/nut cake for breakfast. Free parking at the rear of house. Bed was comfortable. TV was simple to operate. Air-conditioning worked. Immediate neighborhood was a historic district with many interesting houses but a high number of them were in need of repair. We folks like our house, the town should be able to fix itself.

☹ The only thing I’d suggest is a ceiling fan in the bedroom. I have a hard time sleeping when I don’t have a fan on.

☹ the platform inside platform…the phone number of the host was incorrect and a Danish number (which non one answered) for contact…also a deposit was indicated which created some confusion.

☺ Great location in a beautifully renovated victorian house with everything you need. Our host was very kind, hospitable and helpful. The house is in a quiet neighbourhod but still close to stores and restaurants downtown. Couldn’t be better!

Not sure why there were 4’s. Cleanliness was impeccable like always , facilities always the best with extras like local heat from fire place, expensive shades, xtra sheets , towels , blankets, all bath amenities, free coffee and bottled water that was all 100% consumed. , free internet, and TV.. comfortable with brand new queen bed , xtra bedding and blankets, new coach and wool carpet. Value for the money beats all competition. Also provided free snacks and fresh baked banana bread that were all eaten. Not sure what else I could do
I am proud that All of my other guests rated 5’s and highlighted all I mention here.

Had a wonderful stay. The host Gary was very responsive and flexible. He left us some snacks and basic amenities, and gave a tour of the apartment when we arrived. The apartment is beautiful and both beds comfortable. We found the ambience very enjoyable and the environment quiet and peaceful.

Gary is very friendly and responsive. Upon check-in he gave us a thorough tour of the beautiful apartment, which was well furnished with everything we needed and more. Off-street parking behind the house is very secure. The street is very quiet and yet close to major roads through Poughkeepsie. Definitely would stay again (and hopefully for a longer time!).
