I’m in the market now to upgrade my heating system I used these guys from a recommendation I got for cooling around 10 years ago they came installed evaporative cooling and 1 of the installers broke my heating duct and stepped in it and denied they did also poor workmanship so I had to source another duct that they broke spoke to rob the salesman wasent keen on helping.cheers Steve

Used mode heating and cooling a few years back as a contractor for my service/repair work as things were getting busy. Seems as virtually every job attended had issues and the eyeballs picked out of the jobs with very high repair work costs never had any of these issues with my other contracting trades. Made the choice to give them a miss and move on for my own peace of mind.

After getting quotes from 4 different places we decided to go with "Mode H&C". The Sales person who came out was technical and did a thorough inspection of the roof to ensure everything would fit and that the job could be done. In contrast, the other 3 companies didn't bother doing any checking. Dealing with the office was was good too. Their installation team were very professional and turned up on time. We ordered both Brivis Gas heating and Brivis Evaporative Cooling units with central control. Although my roof was small they managed to fit both units and all duct work. They also took away my old heating unit. They even cleaned our gutters and sorted out some loose tiles which were left open by another tradie who did some none related work a few weeks back. Price was very reasonable. We've had this system for nearly 11 Years now and it has been great in both Summer and Winter. We had a very good overall experience. Highly recommended. ==================================================== Update: Our Brivis Evap Cooler failed in Dec 2025 (after 11 years and 6 months) and I was able to figure it out, ordered a Water pump and fixed it myself for only $175 in parts. Support for Brivis parts is good and you can find the parts very easily. Cooling pads are also readily available and very easy to swap out. So if you are a handyman the Evap coolers are easy to work on. I'm glad "Mode H&C" recommended this over an AC unit all those years ago.

Mode heating and cooling upgraded our old gas ducted heater after it failed . We decided to spend a little more and went with SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF BRIVIS BX520. We got 3 quotes and Mode were nearly 10% cheaper than the 2 other quotes which was a pleasant surprise . Robert is very knowledgeable and informative on the phone. The unit was updated no fuss at all a couple of days later and works fantastically . Highly recommend Mode Heating & Cooling .

I recently had Mode conduct a service at my property, where they supplied and installed a Bonaire part. Initially, they were quick to respond and complete the job, which gave me hope for a smooth experience. However, after just 9 months, the same issue has resurfaced. Since the part is still under a 12-month warranty, I reached out multiple times via phone and email to have the issue addressed, but sadly, I’ve received no response. The lack of follow-up is incredibly frustrating, especially given the urgency of the matter. It’s disappointing that a company that was so quick to take the job has been completely unresponsive when it comes to honoring their warranty and resolving the issue. This experience has been unprofessional and has left me highly dissatisfied with their customer service.

My units are less than a year old and one has leaked water all over a bedroom. I contacted Mode when I first noticed a problem only to be told to contact the aircon manufacturer. They were fantastic and were out the next day only to be told it wasn’t an issue with their unit but a part supplied and installed by Mode. What followed was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Promises made and not kept. Calls not returned. All up I’ve been chasing Mode for 10 days to get the unit attended to. Quick to make a sale and take your money not so quick when it comes to honouring a warranty. Update: After 10 days of follow ups the issue has been rectified.

All good until something goes wrong. Happy to take the service on a yearly basis to maintain the unit then once the warranty is up, sends you on to Brivis. We purchased a ducted heating and ducted evaporative unit at the same time. Rob the director was quick with a follow up call once reading the review, then ask for me to let him speak, once I heard him out he just spoke over the top of me.......so I hung up! Obviously reads better than he talks.
