Absolutely lovely whisky bar (or whiskey bar, if you prefer) conveniently located in Soho. Having been here a few times, the staff has always been super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.
The interior is nice and warm, creating a cozy vibe without being cutesy. Overall, just have a rather civilised atmosphere (making for a good contrast to your eventual state upon leaving).
They have an amazing selection of whiskies to try, but you would probably not want to go through all of them in an evening, making it a good place to stop by regularly. This is certainly one of my favourite places for some high-quality (and high-percentage) alcohol.
A wonderful bar to taste and learn about whiskeys curated to your preferences. But also a great place to shop for bottles! I came in with a low budget, to get gifts for family members, and I was still shown and educated about a number of great options costing even less than what I specified. We stayed a while longer to chat with the friendly staff and learn about the shop’s recent remodeling. I love these guys!
Cool concept, really wanted to like the place and probably would have if it weren’t for the appalling service. Woman behind the counter was extremely rude the entire time we were there, literally shouted at me to move as I was halfway through ordering with the other bartender (though for some reason never shouts at anyone else standing in that exact spot). Horrendous experience.
Nothing beats a quick stop off at Milroy's, if you're into your whisky you'll be like a kid in a sweet shop. Excellent selection of single malts available to drink in . Attentive service from knowledgeable staff. Definitely the type of place you could lose a few hours in. They always have some interesting independent bottlings and on occasion a limited selection of exclusive barrel picks from American distilleries . Prices are reasonable and there's always something new to try. Highly recommended of you find yourself in Soho
