Patronizing owner. Poor communication.
Reply from Miller Auto Care 2026.05.15
Hello Katie & Bennett, I am sorry to hear that you were not happy with the "Post Purchase Inspection" on your 2016 Jeep Wrangler. We had you scheduled for a May 5th drop off appointment. When you arrived, you stated that you had to "wait" for this service, we gladly shifted our schedule and accommodated your request.
I am also sorry to hear that you feel as though there was "Poor communication." I do know that per our records that between May 1st & May 8th 2026 there were 15 phone conversations with you both. There were also 7 email exchanges. Also, per your request we gladly spent a significant amount of time on the phone contacting your warranty company to "start a claim" and check for potential warranty's coverages. Your warranty company denied the maintenance that your Jeep needs. They requested to have pictures of your vehicle and the needed repair areas. When we told you this, you refused to return your Jeep for us to do this. There is nothing more we can do to "open this claim" with your warranty company until you choose to return the vehicle to us.
You also stated "Patronizing owner" you primarily were speaking with one of our service managers. He typically uses "all caps" to text and email as our invoicing system requires "all caps." I know that you asked one of our other service managers if the "all caps" meant that he was mad, he explained that no, he is not mad, but that he most always keeps his keyboard on "all caps" Sorry for the potential confusion there.
In addition to the phone calls mentioned above, I have attempted to contact you both several times. Katie, your voicemail is "full." I did leave a voicemail for Bennett explaining my concern for any potential misunderstandings and asked him to call me to reconcile any problems. I have not received a return call from him.
Please feel free to call me with any questions or concerns

Company preaches Christian values… nothing more than performative Christian’s here, we visited from the uk walked in to say hi as my brother in law is one of the best custom car painters in the uk and wanted to look round and chat… girl at the desk was the most inhospitable person we’ve ever come across… such a shame, I feel embarrassed to have brought them and assured them not everyone in the country is like the people at miller auto!! God bless yall and practice what you preach on your website 😂
Reply from Miller Auto Care 2026.04.30
Roger, I am sorry that I missed you during the two times that you stopped in to visit/tour our shop. During your first visit to our mechanical shop office, "the girl behind the desk" our office manager politely stated that our policy is "that our restoration shop is not open the public, without a pre-arranged appointment being set." The second time that you stopped in to "tour" our restoration shop, she stated the same thing. She kindly and politely simply stated our policy. I am sorry that you took that as being 'inhospitable"
All of our people who are at the front desk in our repair shop our incredibly kind, caring, patient, and have a joy filled serving attitude. I cannot believe that she was "inhospitably"
Do appreciate your thoughts and opinions and will take them to heart.

Sincerely,

We had an alternator go out while driving from Florida to Michigan. Miller Auto was recommended to us from a gentleman that noticed we were stranded.Miller Auto Care got us in right away and had us on our way back to Michigan. Great place to get your vehicle fixed.

Brought my car to this place, and it was the worst decision I made…they gave me a bill for $5,300 and my car didn’t even make it 5 minutes down the road before it cut off and would not start back up,and they didn’t want to pay for the tow to get back to there shop
Reply from Miller Auto Care 2026.04.30
Hello Casey, sorry to hear that you had trouble restarting your car after you stopping to get gas yesterday. I know that one of our service managers tried to coach you through on how to restart your carburetored car upon a hot restart while you both were on the phone together. I know that he also offered severed times to get your car towed in for us to see what was going on and to recheck all of the work that we had done. As is always the case, he explained that we would pay the towing costs if it is was related to the work that we had performed, but that if the problem was unrelated that the towing cost would be your responsibility. The work that we performed on your car is under warranty. Please call us at your earliest convenience so that we can reconcile this situation.
Update here after we towed the vehicle in at no charge to the customer, real cost to us $168.00. The vehicle did start for the tow truck driver, it started when it arrived here at MAC. At this point, it does seem as though it was a situation of failing to restart a carburetored car properly. We did find that the vehicle was running rougher than the last time that we test drove the car. We found that a camshaft lobe was worn down causing an engine miss-fire and a rough idle. The customer stated that he had the engine overhauled previously elsewhere and had requested a "lopey" camshaft which also causes a rough idle. The customer declined the camshaft replacement and picked up the vehicle. As stated above MAC did pay the tow bill even though the tow that was performed was not due to "faulty work" performed by MAC
In your review you stated that you spent $5300.00. I would like to clarify what that was for.
"Belt squeal" Researching and installing a serpentine belt on an aftermarket belt drive system where there was not a parts application available. $382.00
"No power brake assist" Aftermarket power brake booster electrical pump not working, checking and repairing the 12 volt power source $332.00
"No engine oil dipstick tube" remove a seized bolt from the block where the tube was to be, route a dipstick tube through the aftermarket headers. $384.00
"Battery will not hold a charge" ck out and replace a defective alternator, trace battery drains to the aftermarket sub-woofer, headlight halo system, aftermarket interior lights, replace the vehicle. Jump started the vehicle multiple times over multiple days. $1013.00
"speedometer inoperative" ck out, test the aftermarket speed sensor and attempt to calibrate with aftermarket dash $165.00
"ck power steering leak" clean and test, repair a leak at an aftermarket fitting $90.00
"will not stay running consistently" Ck out and make several adjustments to the aftermarket fuel injection system over several days and start and run cycles. Remove the injection system, install a new carburetor, fuel pressure regulator, return fuel line system, and set up $2035.00
"engine runs hot" ck out the aftermarket electric cooling fan system, replace the fuel controller and set $500.00
Plus fuel and sales tax.

Please feel free to call me or stop in to discuss this further.
Sincerely,
Keith Stockberger

Miller auto care was super friendly and helpful, I went in because my car door had an alarm going off that would not stop. They literally saved my entire day. They took time out of their busy schedule to go look at it for me and I am forever grateful that I didn’t have to drive an hour home with the alarm going off

I went in for a 2nd opinion on work for an oil leak and was able to get in quickly. Their communication convinced me I was in the right place for the repair. I am pleased with their workmanship, efficiency, patience, and pricing. Mike, Neal and the office team were really pleasant to work with. I'll be back soon for new batteries, as soon as the winter storm passes through. Thanks to the team for being patient with my questions.

Miller Auto Care is a shop you can trust. I have taken both my wife's car and my car here for; sparks plugs, transmission fluid change, rear differential fluid change, brake fluid change, braking inspection, and more. I find Miller is a shop I can trust to do the job correctly.

Honest, dependable, bend over backwards to help. If they say it needs done, it needs done. They don’t try to sell you anything or get you to spend more than necessary, but also willing to do any foolishness one wishes on a car that probably isn’t worth the effort otherwise, because they know it isn’t always about facts, but sometimes feelings with some cars.

Thank you so much Felipe! It is always a pleasure to serve - even in the "foolishness" of cars - sometimes its about the fun - and you make everything fun!!:) Blessings!

Cost of oil change was double what dealer charges. Requested work was not done. No discussion with anyone as to work that was needed. I won't go back.

I had heard about Miller Auto Care for years, all of it positive. I can now vouch for that, as I just had my first experience with them; another shop had told me the noise I was hearing underneath my car was probably transmission related. Not what you want to hear 3 days before leaving on a cross country trip. Miller got me in for a diagnosis on July 3rd, and a repair the following Monday the day before our trip (it was not the transmission thankfully). Miller Auto Care has a new customer!

I can’t speak highly enough about the folks at Miller Auto Care. I specifically want to thank Dean for helping ensure my older vehicle is in great shape for a long road trip. Their input saved me from a new set of tires that I will eventually need to get, but not just yet. They were able to quickly diagnose an issue I was having and repair it. I have a lot of confidence now to go on my trip. I trust this business a great deal!

It's too bad ZERO isn't an option. I took my Chevy C10 to this place with a list of things I wanted repaired. They had my truck six months - at one point during the process I was contacted that the repairs would be $2,400. A month later (with no further contact) I was told it was ready. At pickup I was charged $4,200 with no rational explanation for the increase in charges. To make matters worse, as I left the shop my truck died on the side of the road, and the brakes - which I had just paid to have "repaired" - didn't work and I almost got into an accident. I had to return my truck to the shop and Uber home (with no offer to pay for it from the owner). Another month wait and $300 later I finally got my truck back and it's never run worse. The "electrical" that they claimed was the biggest expense to fix went back to the exact same issues within a year - dash lights, windshield wipers, tail light and turn signals all quit working. What exactly did they do for six months that cost me over $4,000? I've never written a negative review before - and honestly hate doing it now - but this experience was horrendous.

Hello Mike, sorry to hear in this review that you are having problems with your 1972 Chevrolet C10 truck. The work that we performed in February and March of 2024 is still under warranty. Please feel free to call me to discuss the issues and to set up a time to check them out. 317-844-7566. The initial repair order cost was 3930.93 including sales tax. This included the following repairs. Windshield wiper repairs $420.00. Dash light repairs $360.00. 12V/cigarette lighter repairs were $70.00. The rear view mirror was $38.00. The rear brake job, wheel cylinders, brake drums, brake hardware kit, brake shoes and brake lines was $960.00. The hood latch, hood, fender, core supports adjustment, modifying bolt holes, including seized fasteners and welding was $503.00. The front grille installations including modifications was $556.00. The turn signal switch replacement in the tilt steering column was $566.00. The valve cover gaskets replacement was $320.00. The oil change and lube service was $79.00. The original estimate was based on doing these repairs before actually starting the work; however, when the work is "approved" in some cases on 53 year old vehicles, unknowns pop up rust, previous damages, modifications etc. which can often increase the costs. Unfortunately that was the case with your truck. We did discuss these overages when you picked up your truck to which you seemed to understand and agreed to pay the repair invoice. These repairs did test well during multiple test drives. Upon you returning your truck to us, we discovered that your power brake booster in the engine compartment had failed, causing a very hard brake pedal. The cost to replace this brake booster was to be $450, we discounted this cost to you for $300.00 due to your inconvenience for returning your vehicle to us. You approved this work and we did it for you. We also discovered that dirt had gotten into your carburetor and was causing it to "run rough." We removed the carburetor and overhauled it including a carburetor rebuild for "no cost" to you for the inconvenience of returning your truck to us. This repair cost was to be $530.00. We did not do any engine performance during your first visit, nor did we cause dirt to get into your fuel system. We also noted that if the this problem reoccurs, that the carburetor may have to be replaced. Also, when you returned your truck, we discussed our sincere apologies for these additional problems that we had not experienced on our test drives that came up during your drive. I asked if you needed a ride home and you indicated that you had ordered an Uber and that it was not a problem at all. If I misinterpreted this I sincerely apologize. Again, the work that was performed is under warranty here at Miller Auto Care Inc.
Feel free to call me.
