Milestones Smithfield have been fantastic.After recently moving to Cairns, Jess and Kara have assisted me on many occasions from providing a placement for my toddler to last minute daycare so I can have my newborn! I feel reassurance for my little ones and a sense a community. Unlike other daycares, they have been spot on with updating photos, educational tools and monitoring emotional and physical needs of the child.

Milestones is a fantastic centre that both of my sons have attended. Jess the centre manager and Kara-Lee the assistant manager are excellent leaders, ensuring child safety is paramount. I wouldn't recommend sending your enemies kids here. There are many far superior and affordable options around, do your homework and don't risk your child's first 5 years, they deserve better than this place will be able or willing to give them.

Our family has been incredibly lucky to be part of this childcare centre’s community. Both of my daughters have attended, and as my eldest is now preparing to move on to school, I’ve found myself reflecting on just how grateful we are for the care, love, and support we’ve experienced here. From the very first day, the educators made our girls feel safe, welcomed, and understood. They took the time to learn their personalities, their interests, and their little quirks, and they supported them through every milestone—big and small. The team doesn’t just “watch” children; they nurture them, guide them, and celebrate them. Watching my eldest grow into a confident, curious, and kind little person has been a testament to the environment she’s been surrounded by. She has made wonderful friendships, learned so much, and genuinely loved coming in each day. Knowing she is ready for school is a bittersweet feeling, but it’s also the greatest sign of how well she has been prepared. Our youngest continues to thrive there as well, and it brings such comfort knowing she is in a place where she is not only cared for but truly valued. Absolutely wonderful daycare! My daughter is almost two years old and has been attending for the past three months. I honestly did not imagine she would enjoy going so much — now she looks forward to it and waits eagerly every day! The entire staff is incredibly welcoming, patient, and caring. The toddler class teachers are especially kind and patient, and they create such a warm and comforting space for the little ones. They’re always cooperative and helpful, making both parents and children feel at ease. A special thank you to Miss Helen, who is truly amazing and always goes the extra mile to offer the best for the kids. I’m so grateful for the love and care my daughter receives. Highly recommended to any parent looking for a supportive and nurturing daycare!

We are incredibly happy with our choice to move our child to Milestones. Our child has been there for three years and we have found the educators to be caring, informed and always creating valuable learning experiences for the children in their care. We couldn’t be happier with Milestones. Their excellent communication, organisation, and friendly staff make it a fantastic environment for our 16 month old son. We love the daily updates and the variety of activities they provide, which keep him engaged and thriving. We’ve also noticed how much more settled and confident he has become since starting here. We honestly cannot fault them! After a disappointing experience with his first daycare, we feel so lucky to have found this one. Highly recommend!

Milestones Early Learning Smithfield: Observations My grandson is soon to commence school, a graduate of 5 years at Milestones Early Learning Smithfield. He graduates with an enquiring mind, a respect for others and their cultures, good listening skills, confidence and a focus on asking questions, foundation mechanical, STEM, consultation and social skills that have been coached and modelled by teachers every day. Progress can been seen through photographs provided each day by Milestones. I have a series showing my grandson seeking permission to show his favourite toy to the class: a Chinook helicopter. He stood and explained it to the whole class, he then walked around the room talking to students individually and encouraging each person to feel the plane and ask their questions. This high level but critical communication skill and confidence level is rare amongst adults. Class discussions have been wide ranging and stimulating embracing topics such as insects, climate, food, icebergs and the Titanic, different cultures. I know that discussions are stimulating because of related activities initiated by my grandson at home. I have seen that classes are planned against structured and documented learning and development objectives. Fun, play and seriousness are combined each day with great effect. My observations of Milestones Early Learning Smithfield reminds me of the words of Public Intellectual Robert Manne. “Learning Institutions are a force for cultivating a very fine society”. Helen, Rena and the staff in the nursery room here are great. We visited a lot of centres before deciding to entrust milestones with our son and we definitely made the right decision. They are really engaged with the children and genuinely care. They are also very flexible and considerate. We Couldn’t be happier

Our number one preference. The educators are the absolute best, friendly and so welcoming. Every day there are different activities for the kids. My 4 year old absolutely loves attending and my 2 year old is still getting use to it as only been going for a few months, with the updates we get send, I can see how much he loves it there. I highly recommend milestones.

We love Milestones! This centre was one of our preferred in the area & we are glad to have secured a spot. The main call centre were so helpful & efficient in putting us on the wait list and we felt so welcomed when attending stay n play. We loved the look of the centre and a big draw card was the tenure of the team & knowing there would be stability for our little one. We’ve waited a few months to give a review as when we were on the hunt for a centre and looked to the Google reviews, we really relied on comments from parents who have been attending long term. Being first time parents, daycare was a huge step. Helen was so reassuring when we first started & her kind nature really helped ease the nerves. Kara has been so helpful with any random questions we’ve had, especially with navigating things like CCS. Our little one has been attending for almost 6 months and we are so happy. The educators are so, so wonderful. Communication is great, with daily records kept accurately so we’re well informed when we do pick up at the end of the day. We have a daily update in Storypark which we enjoy to look at each evening & our family log in and love reading what’s happened during the day too. We have no family in Cairns, so the stories shared by the centre for our family to view are really special to us. The weekly schedule with what’s on is fun and interactive. To any parent thinking about sending your little one to daycare, look no further than Milestones. ❤️

My son has been in this centre since when he was 7 months old. Now he is going to be in kindy next year. Time flys. Miss Rina from baby room even recorded my son’s first walk (super appreciated). I feel welcomed every day we walk in. My son loves their cuddles. Centre manager Helen is one of the hardest worker I’ve seen, very helpful with our requests. I strongly recommend this centre.

I love how there is always something happening and all the fun and quirky things they get up too. Absolutely brilliant centre! My son has been attending Milestones Smithfield close to a year now, he loves his time there and always has so much fun. As this was my first daycare experience, I loved that I was able to take him to as many stay and play days as I liked to make myself and him feel comfortable before he started full time. All the activities and resources at the centre are amazing and I can tell he is learning so much. The educators are always smiling and friendly, and we are always made to feel welcome. Would 100% recommend this centre to anyone thinking about putting their child into daycare.
