We love Milestones! This centre was one of our preferred in the area & we are glad to have secured a spot. The main call centre were so helpful & efficient in putting us on the wait list and we felt so welcomed when attending stay n play. We loved the look of the centre and a big draw card was the tenure of the team & knowing there would be stability for our little one. We’ve waited a few months to give a review as when we were on the hunt for a centre and looked to the Google reviews, we really relied on comments from parents who have been attending long term. Being first time parents, daycare was a huge step. Helen was so reassuring when we first started & her kind nature really helped ease the nerves. Kara has been so helpful with any random questions we’ve had, especially with navigating things like CCS. Our little one has been attending for almost 6 months and we are so happy. The educators are so, so wonderful. Communication is great, with daily records kept accurately so we’re well informed when we do pick up at the end of the day. We have a daily update in Storypark which we enjoy to look at each evening & our family log in and love reading what’s happened during the day too. We have no family in Cairns, so the stories shared by the centre for our family to view are really special to us. The weekly schedule with what’s on is fun and interactive. To any parent thinking about sending your little one to daycare, look no further than Milestones. ❤️

My son has been in this centre since when he was 7 months old. Now he is going to be in kindy next year. Time flys. Miss Rina from baby room even recorded my son’s first walk (super appreciated). I feel welcomed every day we walk in. My son loves their cuddles. Centre manager Helen is one of the hardest worker I’ve seen, very helpful with our requests. I strongly recommend this centre.

Absolutely amazing kindy. My children have developed so much in the time they have been here. The staff are incredible and so friendly and approachable. I love how there is always something happening and all the fun and quirky things they get up too. Both children run into class with no issues which is good as it means they love it and they are shattered at the end of their day bonus ..

Absolutely brilliant centre! My son has been attending Milestones Smithfield close to a year now, he loves his time there and always has so much fun. As this was my first daycare experience, I loved that I was able to take him to as many stay and play days as I liked to make myself and him feel comfortable before he started full time. All the activities and resources at the centre are amazing and I can tell he is learning so much. The educators are always smiling and friendly, and we are always made to feel welcome. Would 100% recommend this centre to anyone thinking about putting their child into daycare.

Milestones at Smithfield is a fantastic place. Our son has now been enrolled for some time and loves going to Kindy every day. From the first week there, the staff clearly go above and beyond to develop rapport with the kids; providing a sense of safety and belonging. At every transition stage, the staff have let us know what the plan is to gently transition him, judging his readiness, and preparing him for the next stage. His next stage, from kindy to prep, has also been thoroughly supported by the Centre, and his educators. The kindy educators have clearly been engaging with the kids about what to expect from school, and fostering excitement and curiosity. Our son has developed close bonds with several educators at Milestones (they are included in some of his drawings of his ‘family’). He will speak about them to us, tell us what they’ve taught him, and want to also share his own stories with them. This means a lot to us, that Milestones sees and values what our son needs. I’ve never had a drop off, or pick up, where the atmosphere in the rooms was anything but positive. Educators clearly are aware of each child’s needs at these points of the day, and assist parents to make this process seamless. Helen and Kara brilliantly manage the Centre. Parents are kept well informed, and are invited to be active in all other aspects of the Centre's administration, such as menu planning, policies, and the ethos statement. Information about events, themed days, and what activities are planned are posted without fail every week – and followed through on. These activities meet all aspects of a child’s development; social and emotional wellbeing, physical health (sports with Mr Kyle always looks fun), nutrition, STEM, social skills, to name a few. We particularly like being made aware of what they’ve done each day, as we can then carry this through and talk about it at home. All the educators and staff at Milestones do an amazing job. We have been particularly grateful for Ms Kelly, Ms Hope, Ms Marcia, and Ms Phoebe; who bring out the best in our son every day. We will always be thankful this important first stage of his life has been filled with so many caring people.

Helen and her team of education leaders are just brilliant. The attention to detail and commitment to the learning of our little ones is very evident in their passion and delivery. A highly recommended Centre for anyone looking for a dedicated team of professionals.

By far, this is the best Child care centre I have seen in Cairns. No two days are the same there. The Centre is full of anything you can think of that make kids feel better than home. And the Educators are second to none! I recommend to everyone who wants peace of mind while their kids enjoy the time and attention of very well trained and cultured Educators.

My child started at the beginning of the year and everyone has been so welcoming. I was allowed to do as many stay and play visits as I liked to help myself and my child feel comfortable in the lead up to leaving him on his own. His educators immediately made me feel at ease with their softness and care, especially with the guilt of first time care. I needn't have worried, he loves daycare and I can genuinely see their care for my child and every other staff member also know his name. I also like that I can see the staff members support each other and provide support for every child. I've also been able to book in an extra casual day here and there when they have not been full which has really helped with juggling work.

I highly recommended this place,my kid been there more than 1 year and everytime she comes back home with happy face;) All educator sooo nice and helpful!

This is seriously the best centre. They have consistently delivered outstanding levels of performance in their care and service provided to my son and I. Helen and Kara always make me feel no administrative request is a problem (although I am sure it is at times!). I have consistently experienced first hand Helen and all of her staff are really led by not only in the best interests and well-being of the children in their care but also the parents/families attending their centre. They are a huge support to us and have taken great care of my son and me, and have felt like family since day one when we walked through the doors. My son is so happy and comfortable with all of the educators because they have all taken the time to spend time with him and get to know him. The individual and unique bonds he has formed with every staff member at this centre is noticeable and so appreciated! We love our Milestones family and I am so grateful we found this centre!

My son really loves to go to this childcare centre everyday. Although he was very shy person before starting childcare, he changed his personality like a social person. He said HI and Bye to all staff and smiling. I am strongly recommended to send your child to Milestone Early Learning Smithfield.

Helen and her team are fantastic. All the staff are kind, caring and attentive to the children's needs. Very happy with this daycare.
