Great experience ...went maybe 15 times ..chrismolis the son was great
I have Been having excruciating pain from an abrasion on my cornea. So just because a dr travel stated that the scratch is healed I’m not considered an emergency EVEN THOUGH my eye is swollen shut, can’t work, can’t do my day to day routines, it’s burning, red, blurry but yet i cannot Be seen because in their perfectly good eyes, I’m not considered an emergency. My feelings are beyond hurt and i am In so much pain that no one gives a damn about: thanks for nothing ❤️
100% professionals. Cathy, was a great nurse. She deserves a raise.
I had to get 'emergency' surgery on my right eye last Friday. Dr. Milan Shah got me taken care of that day in Carmel after putting in a full day up in Muncie. He was very professional and very competent and answered all my questions before, during, and after the procedure. It appears to have been completely successful.
If you come please pack a lunch. My first appointment was at 9 am. I didn’t leave till after 2pm. Today my appointment was at 1pm. It’s 2:30 and i still haven’t seen the doctor. The service is really nice but 1 appointment will consume your entire day. So do not plan anything else for that.
Sometimes the wait time is long. I see Dr Nick Hrisomalas and Dr Patel. Both are excellent doctors and explain everything very well. I see Dr Nick for diabetic retinopathy and Dr Patel for glaucoma treatment. I am having tube shunt surgery in January. Both of their staffs are kind and helpful.
I just happened to have an appointment here. My brother is blind. He was dropped off by Veterans services. I saw him in the waiting room as I was leaving. I sat with him until he was called back. The tech didn't even offer to guide him to the room or give him assistance. Lucky for him I was here.
Outstanding physicians. Several tests are run at each visit and they are very efficient. There is plenty of room for my mother‘s wheelchair. The staff are kind and considerate of my mom. I feel she is in good hands there.
Vickie and Rosa are excellent at the front desk! Very kind and so great as the first point of contact. Many other receptionists at other offices need to take some lessons from Vickie and Rosa! Abby , who works with Dr Finnen is a doll!
And so kind as well! I liked Dr Finnen too. He was thorough and answered my questions.. very competent. I appreciated the fact that they fit me in immediately on my first visit due to a possible retinal tear which is so important. The second visit they , however , were 30 min late to take me back which was a bit too long. But, they could have had emergencies that day! , Overall , very nice office and well run with kind staff ! Susie. Ps. I don’t understand some bad reviews for Dr finnen ! He is very smart and thorough and kind. ! No.. he’s not warm and fuzzy but he is kind and a good Dr.!
I really do not want to give 1star.... My appointment was at 10:50 am I arrived at 10am. I did not leave until 1:30pm.... That is not the bad part. The Bad part was only to get disrespected by Dr. Neil P Finnen. Ok my mistake because there was a lot of bad reviews about this Dr. I was attempting to give this Dr. the benefits of the doubt maybe he is misunderstood. No. I should have gave the comments from the patient reviews the benefit of the doubt. This is the most disrespectful Dr. I have ever come across. Just because a mother out of concern for their child is asking questions does not make you upset. And not only that don't answer the question you ignore her and walk out the room. In addition to that the Monday prior check up I ask to have my son prescription filled you walk out the room again and told me to call in a prescription. This Dr. Picked up the half empty bottle set it and told me to call back in for a prescription. That was confusing because he gave us the first set of drops for my son. Friday comes and I call in for the refill the nurse calls me back and says she has called in the prescription. Saturday drive 20min to pick up prescription and pharmacy says there was no prescription called in. Tuesday drive 45min wait 4hr to see the Dr. He gonna say well sometimes the prescription don't always go through with an attitude and you have to call the on call number I explained no one mentioned that I could call a OnCall number. I don't even remember the question I had or was going to ask because he interrupted me while walking out the room of course and say there is no need for you to get upset. The problem was I was no where near upset except when you said what you said and proceeded out the room before I could complete what my question is. Bottom line will be my primary Dr is looking for another specialist as we speak there are better Dr that will take time listen to your questions and 100%... Show compassion, apathy and work with you as a patient. All Dr. Are not good Dr. I will not be going back to this physician just because of his disrespect.
..
I’m currently sitting in the eye doctor’s chain at 11220 Illinois St. in Carmel. I’ve been here for an 3 and a half hours and still haven’t seen the doctor. The receptionist was rude, I wasn’t told I would have my eyes dilated , and I haven’t seen a technician clean a single device before or after I used them. Did I mention it’s been three and a half hours just for a consultation. Extremely disappointed in this facility. One star because you can’t put zero.
Questionable billing and poor customer service
Went in for an eye lift consultation. Dr. ordered a bunch of EXPENSIVE tests (hadn't hit my annual deductible at this point, so I paid over $700 out of pocket for those tests). The testing centers delivered my results to me directly, so I knew they were all negative for Graves Disease. Dr had a follow up appointment scheduled for me, I drove round trip 2 hours, he walked into the exam room for all of 30 seconds, told me my tests were negative (already knew that). I asked if we could discuss the eye lift and he said, "No, come back in a year." I then get a bill for $86.70 for an office visit for what SHOULD HAVE BEEN A PHONE CALL! I refused to pay it. I received NO treatment that day. NONE. I called and emailed them repeatedly requesting that they write it off. Last month, got a call from them reminding me of my balance before they send it to collections. The Office Manager was supposed to have discussed it with the Dr. and call me back one way or another, before sending to collections. No call. Guess what? Got a Collections notice. I called them again today, left a message, requesting a return phone call and nothing.
So my advice to you would be to seek another Ophthalmology provider. If that isn't possible, before agreeing to come in for an appointment, make sure a phone call wouldn't suffice. I wouldn't trust this place with my health, when clearly, their billing ethics are lacking.
