First time trying this place, my fiance and i ordered very simple meals upon receiving the food we were told the plates were “warm” but myself and my fiance ended up with burns from touching them felt like they had just come out of an oven. Food was bland and obviously microwaved. we did not eat it. when asked how everything was we explained and they just said okay and handed us the check. when we went to pay we had to explain again what happened. did not offer to comp some or all of the bill. we paid and left. chips and salsa were good though.
I went into the store to order my meal. I ordered the number 11 combo which was one burrito, one taco, and one enchilada. I get back to my hotels room and open the box and there is just one burrito and one enchilada, no taco at all. There is another combo that is an enchilada and a burrito but that comes with rice beans. So either way my order was wrong and missing food. Overall the food is mediocre at best.
La Hacienda Carmel is our go to place for dine-in and delivery Mexican food. They've always been super friendly. The food is straight forward, good quality and fresh. The menu has a large variety of items. The combo meals are favorites. Order anything with shrimp in it and you will get the sweetest, tender shrimp around.
Though the food was good the Texas nachos were short on the chips, and I ended up having to use the rest of the complimentary chips. As for the service it was the worst I've ever experienced. The server barely checked on my table, and when he was flagged down he looked directly at us, and kept on walking. Our drinks weren't refreshed until we were about to leave, and was rushed to leave before we were done eating, and I didn't get a chance to order the churo cheesecake that I was told to try. Yeah I will not be returning to this particular location.
Went here with a few girlfriends for brunch margs and tacos. This place is exactly what you'd hope it is. We took approx. 1.5 hours to even order our food because we were yapping so much, enjoying the patio and giant margaritas. Staff were friendly and understanding. I got the Al Pastor tacos and a big ole' thing of guac. Took what was left of the guac home---I don't know what kind of witchcraft they're using, but it somehow didn't turn brown after 2 days. I'll definitely be returning here in the future.
I’ve dined at other locations and have had similar experience with service. Staff is abundant but seem to prioritize socializing and being their phone. 3 stars for food is because they got my order wrong, which I waited a long time to order and didn’t know it was incorrect unto I left and it was too late. The atmosphere and menu items suggest they genuinely care. They just need to address some staff concerns.
The food was absolutely incredible easily a 10/10 experience. Every bite was full of flavor, and you could really tell care and quality went into everything. From the presentation to the taste, it completely exceeded expectations. I’d recommend this place to anyone without hesitation definitely worth checking out!
