The food was horrible, the three dishes we ordered were cold, the meat was tasteless and the portions were very small compared to the price

We are sorry you did not enjoy your experience at Mexhico in Barrie. We aim to have our food at the table hot and fresh. It sounds like we did not meet your expectations. We are also normally complimented on our portions size, and consistently are commented on good value for money. We checked and none of our servers had any complaints of cold, tasteless food recently and we make it a point to followup with our customers at the table each and every time. In saying that I hope you provided the same feedback about the cold tasteless food to your server at the time you were in the restaurant. Wow! What a gem. We visited the area from Toronto and finally tried this place. Glad we did! The food is so fresh, flavourful and delicious! It’s very authentic too. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

all plant based doesn't mean no flavour at Mexhico. i had the sopecitos, three thick blue corn tortillas piled with vegan yumminess. the consistency of the tortillas, more like arepas than thin tortillas, is toothsome and the taste is deeply delicious. each is piled with tasty refried beans, vegan sour cream and cheese and pico de gallo salsa. delivious, a great price and filling!
service is friendly and the room is airy and pleasant.

I am seriously contemplating making the 2 hour trip from Kitchener just to eat here not just on my way to camping. That’s how good it is.

Nice little spot, good variety on the menu and the dishes we tried were all very good. Not everyone was vegan or vegetarian, but everyone did enjoy the food. Service was excellent, polite, and timely.

This was honestly the best vegan food we’ve ever had till date. The food was incredibly tasty and flavorful - our favourite was the barbecoa tacos. What elevated the experience 10x was the different hot sauces (salsas) we tasted along with the tacos and all of them were very tasty and creative.
The drinks were pretty incredible too. Overall 11/10 experience and it makes us want to drive down all the way just to have this 😅

One of the best plant-based restaurants we’ve ever been to! This is a must visit if you are in Barrie even if you are not a vegan! I wanted to leave a review asa I visited but life got in the way and it’s been several months and I forgot the name of the dish I ordered. They also have everyday special desserts I think. Yummy cheese cake! Cute little places mark your memory with their funny personality 😅 (see the board pic)

I never knew I liked Mexican food until today! We tried the stuffed burger,f’sh tacos,and fajitas and were blown away by all the authentic flavours. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone in Barrie looking for a high quality dine in experience & amazing tasting food! 10/10

We travelled all the way from Brantford to enjoy this Authentic Mexican cuisine with a bonus (no animals were harmed in the process). Love it and I hope they open many more branches all over Ontario. Sorry for the half eaten plates in the photos, couldn’t resist the temptation to eat first before taking pictures.

Went with a friend yesterday and the nachos and food were very good. Definitely a good restaurant to bring friends or family to.
