Great selection fair prices
My Go to... Prices & Quality... never disappointed.
Very poorly managed store, avoid at all costs. They tell me items weren’t supposed to be for sale that I grabbed off a shelf. Offer no resolution and are beyond rude to add insult to injury. The workers here have back door deals set up with customer and management allows it. I wonder how their corporate office would feel about this bs.
I have been a Meijer's customer since they started in 1972 (?) in Michigan. They began as Meijer's Thrifty Acres due to the "acres of shelf space" to carry everything from groceries to lumber. They tended to have lower prices than other stores.
Currently this location has higher prices than Walmart does. It carries a number of items not found at Walmart's, such as a complete line of Faygo Soda Pop such as Faygo Cream Soda & Faygo Rock 'n Rye which are popular in Michigan. The Rock & Rye flavor is based upon the Rock 'n Rye whiskey alcoholic cocktail. They carry many other Michigan favorites.
They have a butcher shop for custom cuts of meat, sea food, & fowl. Their fresh vegetable section is larger & more diverse than Wal-Mart's.
I buy from Wal-Mart's for items that are sold cheaper there and from Meijer's for items not carried by Wal-Mart's. Meijer's has a discount card program with good savings. It is worth going there for the items on sale. Those prices are cheaper than Walmart's.
Always great shoping!
High prices
The staff at this location were kind and helpful.
Clean place staff ok
I'm assuming this location is under new management bc I saw such a difference last night when I was shopping!
The store has never been "bad". I live nearby and shop here at least 1x a week. My biggest frustration was the lack of stock shopping after 5 pm. They were constantly out of product which made me assume the majority of stocking is done in morning or after store closes. Which is frustrating for someone working a 9-5. The other upset was the constant mold I would find on produce. Even once I had reported to customer service that the Mandarin orange bags were expired by almost a month. Next time I was there they were still available for purchase.
Well! Last night! It was like I was in a whole new store!!! Just about everything was stocked. Often over stocked! It made me think there was all this product in the back rooms that finally made it to the floor! Everything was super organized too! Front facing, and the produce area was BEAUTIFUL! You could tell a lot of love and attention was put in to it.
As a former district manager it seemed obv to me that the store is under new management. And that person is deserving of a shout-out! 👏🏻🤌🏻 I'm also looking forward to seeing the remodeling projects being worked on! Great work Meijer's! ❤️
