Read online inventory saying there is cottage cheese in stock. I was stoked because I am usually a Kroger guy and they are out. I thought maybe if Meijer has the cheese I’ll be converted to a customer. But they didn’t and I wasted 30 minutes of my time. Does seem like a decent store though.
I went to this store on Thursday, 4/30. I arrived around 11:30 am. I went to the counter where they sell cooked chicken and bought some chicken wings. There were two kinds of wings, so I asked what was the difference. The woman said one was spicy and the other was not, so I asked for the ones that were not spicy. THEY WERE ALL SPICY! I think she did it on purpose. When she walked up to me she looked angry. She was rude!
At one time they had an amazing liquor department, with great beer and whiskey selections. A couple of years ago they leaned hard into ciders, seltzers, and flavored whiskey that dominate the liquor department. It is clear whoever controls the inventory does not understand the industry or the consumer base.
