Our experience with was initially very positive and they were the leading favorite for choosing who to go with to replace our flooring, but unfortunately some behavior near the end of the process left us soured and looking elsewhere. On the positive side, everyone in the store was very friendly and gave us solid recommendations (or at least the best options available as our search was a uniquely challenging one in terms of trying to match existing flooring). However, despite being promised (in writing) that pricing would be held up September 15th, I was told the week before that the new (more expensive) pricing was already in effect. And that was after sending an email Monday September 8th to answer some final questions to beat the price increase and not getting any email response at all until Friday. There's also the unfortunate way they do billing separating out the materials and the labor. Because the do not join them together, it means you are stuck paying sales tax on the materials while other companies immediately have a 7% head start in offering a better price by bundling the two together (because Indiana law does not charge sales tax on certain cases where labor is involved). Ultimately, I do believe the installation team was solid and would have delivered an excellent install, but the materials difference alone ended up being around 25% more expensive and that was comparing apples to apples (the exact same product and square footage) that other companies were charging and that's just not competitive.
Sales staff was pleasant enough, however the main guys they use for installation were why they lost our business.

We selected McCool's for our flooring a few years ago because it was highly rated. I'm not sure if it was the sales consultant we had, but it has been one issue after another. They forgot to schedule us on their calendar after confirming by email, so the team was splitting time between our home and others that had already been committed to. Because they were in and out so quickly, there are several areas that have visible seams, need to be stretched, etc. I've not been able to get anyone to have a tech come back out to address it.
The more expensive carpet we have in the main areas (first, second floors) has not held up well - sheds and mats terribly.
For the $16K we spent to have the carpet replaced in our home (that was only 3 years old at the time), it has been a major disappointment. They were quick to say negative things about some of their competitors to get the sale, but they've not honored it once installed.

Dana, first allow me to apologize for what sounds to be a bad experience. Yes we have mostly great reviews as we do the best we can to satisfy our our customers. But clearly we did not succeed in your case.I have ask the team lead to contact you to see if we can help correct your concerns. Jason our team lead started after the pandemic and was not employed at the time of your purchase. He is extremely customer service oriented. I see your purchase was in June of 2020 and installed in august of 2020. This time frame was a crazy time for everyone trying to operate a business. We had staff and installers out with the virus and struggled to keep the business going. While that is NO excuse for what you experienced but it may shed a little light on what was happening at the time. Being a local small business it is imperative to have happy satisfied customers! We certainly would not have been able to be thriving after more than 50 years if we didn't take care of our customers. It is my hope to have you completely satisfied now that we know of your concerns.

Carmel McCool’s is the place to buy carpet. Jason in the showroom, Darren and Nick on installation were fantastic. Pricing is straight forward, selection was great, and Jason was very knowledgeable. These installers were AMAZING. They were professional, friendly, talented, and hard working. Thank you. I highly recommend this company!

We love the LVP flooring we put in our bathroom. Maryanna was a great help in making our selection. We love the look and feel of the floor, but most impressive is that it does NOT get cold when the temperature outside drops. Our house is built on a slab, so our old flooring felt cold in the winter. The new floor is very comfortable!

We worked with MaryAnn/McCool's Flooring to put new carpeting in the upper level of our home. She was very knowledgeable and patient as we worked through selecting the type/color of carpet. We were able to take samples. The installation went well too. We forgot to take pictures but are very happy with the results.

Replaced our master bedroom carpet with McCools. Good experience from beginning to end. We had to reschedule the install due to a conflict on our end and they were very easy to work with. The install team was courteous and quick.
