The doctors at Maxwell Clinic are great. However, the concierge plan puts good healthcare out of reach for a lot of us. Riverside Village Clinic in East Nashville has a similar blend of functional and Western medicine for an affordable price. And they take insurance. So if can't go here anymore due to the cost, try Riverside. Anna Guessetto there is wonderful. She is very knowledgeable on thyroid and on hormones. Athena Reese is also super helpful and knowledgeable for general practicioner type things. I hope this is helpful! It is so tough to feel bad and to need quality care and not be able to afford it.

However, I’m sorry to hear that our new MaxWell Care program cost caused you to leave our clinic. It is our deepest hope that you will be able to find your way back to MaxWell Clinic in the future. We are excited about our new model of care as it actually increased the level of care we can provide our patients.

Maxwell Clinic models brings the future of medicine and healing to the present. They integrate the best things about conventional medicine while they work to identify and treat root causes of illness to actually heal the body. The medical professionals spend time with the patients to really understand the issues and then the patient is provided a comprehensive wellness plan with continual support from the the clinic, including doctors, nurses and dieticians to ensure the best possible outcome. When I asked deeper questions about various tests that I paid hundreds (ultimately thousands) of dollars for to better understand my health, I was met with the following response from the Nurse Practitioner/clinician who was assigned and trusted to help me: "I don't have time to give you a medical degree."
This same practitioner also labeled me as impulsive when I asked questions during our in-person visits (I'm the highest degree of an over-thinker and make decisions only after a painstaking amount of research). And the one and only time I asked a question in the portal designed to contact your health advocate and doctor, she shamed me for reaching out over something that was unclear in the wellness plan she created.
I urge you not to waste your time and money on this clinic if you want to be treated with compassion. Or maybe push your luck, but beg them not to be paired with Luann Lavin.
I have respect for Alisson Kothera, the nutritionist who spoke with intelligence and a deep understanding of people and food, and for Dr. Haase, who sat with me for 40 minutes to explain what Luann could not in three visits due to either indifference or incompetence.

Maxwell Clinic is the best clinic I have ever been to! They have solved all of my health problems and I am proud to say I am and feel the healthiest I have ever been. Dr. Haase & Lindsay are the most incredible people and genuinely care about you and your health. All of the staff are so sweet and are so helpful! I highly recommend this office.
