Matt and his brother Daniel made up bookshelves, drawer units and worktop to my builder's measurements . They came on time and spent a long day installing all the furniture for my study / spare room. We discussed minor alterations and amendments that were required and they did an immaculate job , leaving the room absolutely clean. I am very happy with the finished job and found them both charming. I would have no hesitation in recommending them for bespoke carpentry work.

Bespoke cabinets and floating shelves fitted in four alcoves in an old Victorian house with some awkward and irregular angles. Matthew was very professional and did a fantastic job - these features now routinely draw praise and complements from guests. We would highly recommend this service.

Matthew did a fabulous job doing custom made under stair storage and a custom folding shelf in our kitchen for our awkward corner for which we have had many compliments already! Very professional and hard working. Would definitely recommend him and get him in for more in the future!

Matt repaired our back door. It was a fiddly job and we had been trying for a long time to find someone prepared to do it. We were lucky to find Matt. He came on time and did what he promised in an efficient and courteous manner. His charge was very reasonable. We will use him again.

Matt made several beautiful, bespoke pieces of furniture for us (two built-in alcove bookshelves around a fireplace, built-in coat cupboard, a built-in storage cupboard, balustrading for the staircase and a bathroom airing cupboard). We were very impressed by Matt's responsiveness, reliability and professionalism throughout the work, and even more impressed by the quality of his work. Matt worked with us to create practical and elegant designs that suited our space and storage needs perfectly. All for a very reasonable price! I recently asked Matthew Hill to restore an old, hand carved, hand made wooden table for me that had become worn and damaged over the years. The wooden screw on the legs had also worn away and needed restoration. I was blown away by the excellent job that was done. It is wonderful to see true craftmanship alive and well and at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them.
