After numerous and unsuccessful visits to various practices Massage Matters was recommended to me. I have been using them for a few months and am very impressed. Tom takes time to understand the issues so that he can treat the source of the pain and suggests daily exercises to complete at home. I have noticed significant improvement in my shoulder mobility and we are now working on my back.

Yesterday was my second visit to Massage Matters Thame for a treatment with John and I can't recommend John and the Massage Matters clinic enough. My partner did some research to find a good clinic to help after I suddenly had restricted movement in both shoulders and pain in my right hip. This left me unable to do basic things we take for granted, like putting on a top, doing your hair etc., without feeling sharp shooting pains throughout my arms. ( This has now been diagnosed as Polymyalgia Rheumatica ). After looking at many options in and around Wendover and the surrounding areas, he chose MM Thame because he felt, from the information on their website, they would have the knowledge and expertise to help relieve the discomfort I was now feeling. John was knowledgeable about the condition and after session 1 I felt a difference and this continued further after session 2. Looking forward to continuing my recovery journey. Highly recommend.

This review is for the lovely lady who answers the phone for the clinic. (Sandra) I called up as i needed to cancel an appointment due to my husband being seriously ill. She was so understanding and so kind she had never met me before or spoken to me but her no problem dont worry manner and caring attitude made my terrible day seem better Thank you.

Anybody looking to get a first class massage should go to Massage Matters. I have been seeing Tom for over 2 years and I have to say he gives one of the best deep tissue/sports massage I've ever had. His hours are very accommodating for people that need evening/Saturday appointments too. Thank you Tom..... you are amazing!

I attended the clinic due to a recommendation from a friend. I have ongoing issues with my lower back and hip which are very painful at times. I left my first session feeling so much better. Pain had lessened and my mobility had increased. I also attended at a time when I was quite upset and worried. John was extremely kind, compassionate and reassuring. Explanations were given for everything and I immediately felt relaxed. I have had a few other sessions and each and every visit has been just as positive as the first. I was given additional exercises to continue in between sessions which have helped. I will definitely be returning at regular intervals to keep on top of my pain. Communication is very easy and I never once felt uncomfortable.

I have seen Tom a few times now to help with niggles while marathon training. Highly recommended and very knowledgeable physio. Easy to find location, comfortable rooms and the Lindt chocolates at reception are a bonus!

This is my second massage from Tom at Massage Matters. The clinic itself is always lovely, calm and clean, and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would HIGHLY recommend Tom, particularly if you like a slightly firmer, deep tissue style massage. His knowledge and experience is evident, and he will always talk you through the details of the areas he is working on, and how it benefits you. He is also a fantastic listener! Sometimes I don't want to talk at all during a massage, but nine times out of ten I do witter on about all sorts of things, and Tom has great communication skills - skills which are often much underrated! I've already booked my next appointment, and we've had a chat about my specific needs so we can really focus on my target areas next time - I can't wait!

Went to the clinic having constant headaches. Even after one session I saw better results than after seeing my gp about it a while ago. I am very thankful to John with how much he helped me and I cannot recommend this clinic enough.

On a very gloomy Monday January evening with a very tense neck and shoulders, I had a massage with Debbie. It was absolutely fantastic and I would wholly recommend her. I came out feeing so much better. Given the late opening hours, it was very easy to fit in after a long day at work. Thank you Debbie.

Myself and my partner just had a massage with Debbie. My back has been in pain and achy for a couple weeks now, and Debbie sorted it right out. Steve S saw me with a severe back pain caused from coughing. I booked an hour slot so we had time to discuss what was going on prior to treatment. He was very thorough in his questions and I felt very comfortable talking to him. I would certainly recommend him to others. He was understanding and caring.

Sharon is an absolute miracle worker. I went there 36 weeks pregnant, barely unable to walk due to chronic hip pain. I left there and I could walk without a limp for the first time in about 3 months!!!! She’s also so approachable, calming and just all round lovely. Will 1000% be back.

I have received sports massages and deep tissue massages from John and Tom and they have both been first class. Supportive, skilled and professional. As a triathlete, they are the team I go to first if I ever have a concern or need adjusting. Highly recommend.

I’ve seen Tom for massages multiple times now and I cannot recommend him enough. He is professional and incredibly knowledgeable. He takes time and care to understand how he can best approach each appointment I book to make sure it’s right for me and my body. As someone who spends a lot of time training in the gym and on the go, he has helped me massively - I ran my first marathon last year and he was able to help ease the extreme tightness I was feeling in my calves and quads.
