I've given a star because Angela and Kinga seemed nice, and the toenail polish by Kinga was good, but the medical pedicure was awful.
The foot file was really rough, making the side of one foot really raw and sore by the time I got home. It eventually scabbed over, alongside the roughness that developed on both my feet where I'd suffered the filing. I had to gently buff my feet myself a week or so later when I felt it was safe to do so, to soften this roughness and scabbing.
My toenails have each been ingrowing into the sides of my toes since the pedicure, causing constant pain and discomfort since they were cut.
My cuticles are now rough and hard.
In short, I absolutely wish I'd never gone.
The other person on Reception wasn't particularly friendly or professional, since she didn't advise Angela that my pedicure was to be followed by an appointment with Kinga (so Angela then apologised to Kinga for putting a finish on my nails), didn't suggest that I pick a polish colour while I waited, and didn't offer any refreshments, water, etc.
I expected from the reviews that this would be a treat, but it's been awful.
I felt even worse, since it had been a Christmas gift.
Always a pleasure having pedicure, so relaxing and feel like I'm walking on air afterwards.

Reading so many 5 star reviews I was looking forward to my Supreme pedicure however there was nothing supreme or 5 star about it. There are 2 treatment chairs beside the reception and shopping area - perhaps my expectations were too high but I expected a treatment room or private area.
My feet were roughly filed with a basic foot file followed by a foot scrub, a bowl of water was brought over for me to soak my feet in. The therapist did offer me coffee etc before she left me but I wasn’t there for coffee I was there for a pampering relaxing pedicure. When she returned my nails were cut and skin buffed around my toes but not to the standard I have had elsewhere. Nails uneven and rough skin left around my toes. I had asked when I arrived if, instead of having polish I could have a longer massage which the therapist agreed to. I have no idea how long the massage should be but it was quick.
Overpriced and very disappointing.
I selected this salon based on the reviews, having had many mediocre pedicures so the Supreme Pedicure sounded like just what my feet needed. I was warmly greeted on arrival and settled in for what I thought would be a feet treat before my holiday. However, the therapist broke the skin on the side of my foot and little toe with her rough filing and later cut the cuticle on my toe. She had the audacity to suggest that I needed to see a chiropodist and took no action to disinfect the broken skin. The pedicure was far from supreme with rough edges and skin left around the nails and the polish was uneven and poorly applied. I politely pointed out the areas around the nails that I would expect to be clean and tidy on any basic pedicure and the therapist continually told me there was a limit to what she could do, she was in fact satisfied with her work and expected me to pay and leave. I offered another opportunity for a positive resolution but got nowhere. Luckily Kinka stepped in and took me downstairs for a chat and a look at the pedicure and then kindly offered to fix everything if I was able to return in a hour. I am grateful for Kinka's pedicure and would recommend you request a senior staff member for your treatment or select a named therapist from a friend or the recommendations. This was far from the experience I had been looking forward to. My foot hurt on holiday due to the scratches incurred and also ruined the look of my dress sandals for a special occasion.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. I am truly sorry your experience did not meet the high standards we expect at Margaret Dabbs London, especially as you were looking forward to a special treatment before your holiday.

Dreadful experience at the Glasgow Margaret Dabbs today - I’ve been going there for years and staff have usually been excellent. However on entering the salon today I found a new (to me) member of staff who was glued to the computer screen and didn’t even offer to take my mum’s coat - I had to hang it in the cupboard myself- later when I came back to collect my mum we were given a telling off by her for apparently leaving her too long (we were held up a little by 5 minutes or so due to crowds in Glasgow city centre) we were told we had gone against the “mental health and safety act” - ie leaving my mum unattended. Just unbelievable being scolded at a podiatry appointment- disgraceful
