With MAC trade services, you’ll have to call and chase THEM up. First call chase was. Because I didn’t get an email when I finish applying for for my NSW VPP rebate - their excuse was they had email problems.
Second call chase was waiting for more than 60 days to get the rebate in my bank account, there was radio silence. So called them up yesterday and rebate is now in my account.
I shouldn’t have to call you guys twice! And if I hadn’t, I would have been ghosted!! So name of MAC Trades game is to persistently call them and keep track of them!
Final VPP rebate got approved on 20-Feb, however, 55 days later I’m still pending rebate transfer from the MAC trade services…

Hi Kan, thanks for your feedback. As outlined in our terms and conditions, and in the approval email sent when your VPP was confirmed, rebate payments can take up to 60 days to process. If it’s currently been 55 days, your payment should be coming through shortly. If you have any concerns after that timeframe, feel free to reach out and we’ll be happy to assist.

Installation done cleanly and effectively. No hard copy owners manual provided which would be helpful as I am 92 years of age. Noise level very low.

The process was longish but very logical. The ability to pause and save was very useful as some of the questions I needed confirmation from my installer. Also as a 64 year old I am not as savy as many on my mobile phone, which I got great assistance from the team at MAC Trade.

Thanks for your review. We understand there has been confusion around the NSW VPP rebate due to misleading advertising of the maximum rebate that could be achieved.
The incentive was originally advertised by the NSW Government as “up to $1,500”, however this was not calculated using the actual market value of the certificates. Which is why it was taken down. It is not a government cash subsidy, but a tradeable certificate paid for by energy retailers at market rates that fluctuate daily. MAC does not receive $1,500 per job, nor charge a $500 admin fee. The fixed amount offered covers the certificate value plus mandatory third-party auditing, registration fees, compliance overheads and data processing costs required under the scheme. We aim to be transparent by offering a fixed rebate amount so customers know exactly what they will receive upfront. If you’d like to discuss your application, our team is happy to help.

Installed 4 new air-conditioning units in our large home!
Just in time for summer.
It was a big job, but the guys worked well and promptly.
It was completed in a day and our air-conditioning system saves us lots of money due to the units being energy efficient.
