Rude/Disrespectful It sounds like a great organisation. Until you have this experience repeatedly. On the 12 of July I rang about a sick bird I rudley got told that they only do cats and dogs. I never even got the question where else can I ring out my mouth before being rudley hung up on. HOW RUDE. Then on the 27th of October I was helping 2 stray dogs. The rescue van pulled down the road for other reasons I asked them about helping these 2 dogs. I got told nothing they can do to ring council. So when the workers tell you they help ducks but they don't do birds strange. Then they do cats and dogs but can't help dogs strange. Then the name says pet rescue last time I checked dogs and birds were pets so that is false advertisement. Then the put outs they put everyone through noise, smell, dumping dead animals under your bushes, loud rude workers / carers it's ridiculous. So I would think twice about them. And if you do get an animal park at their house. Expect RUDE or to get yelled at or hung up on dealing with these people.

Adopted a beautiful cat through MPRI. We met with Kim, one of the foster carers to meet two kittens in her care but after talking about what our family was looking for and meeting the kittens Mumma we made the decision to adopt their mumma, our beautiful 9 month old girl. Kim was extremely great with communication and flexible with timing. We were able to visit our girl in between pre-adoption and bringing her home which we were very grateful for. Feeling so grateful for MPRI

Truly amazing people that work for Mackay Pet rescue they go above and beyond to help animals. They have rescued 5 3week old kittens and are proceeding to catch the mother. From the moment I rang them they came around pronto and took one of the three week old kitten that is in a incubator and have now set a trap to catch the mother and rescue the other 5 kittens and mother. These people deserve recognition as to what they do. Please people help and support them in anyway we can as they are doing the hard yards feeding rescuing and turning there homes and life into solely helping these defenceless animals. You are gods gift to humanity to animals.

A big shout out to all animal lovers...Mackay Pet Rescue are an amazing group of people that represent what a true animal welfare group SHOULD be. Kind, loving, compassionate, dedicated, these people truly put animal welfare before themselves. Mackay has a huge problem with animal welfare and unfortunately there's very little support from the government. This means groups can only function from the heart (and funds) from the community. Mackay Pet Rescue offer an invaluable service to the area! 🌟 They are constantly rescuing and caring for neglected and abandoned animals, and then carefully matching them with perfect adoptive homes so they have a happy new life. I see these guys tirelessly fundraising all around the community, and the volunteers and pet carers giving so much of their precious time, energy and emotions to help. Give all the support and donations you can, to help keep this amazing rescue group running. Unfortunately I live too far away to be able to help physically look after these animals that Mackay pet rescue go out of their way to try and help and save. I know a number of these people personally and the dedication they put into it is amazing.

Mackay Pet Rescue is by far the most friendly Rescue group in the area. I have gotten both of my boys from there and they have been amazing. Couldn't recommend the Rescue enough

It is a relief that there is an actual genuine Pet Rescue organisation that you can call upon to have genuine care and respect for these misunderstood domesticated animals that todays society has forgotten or disregarded. "SAVING ANIMALS IN GENUINE NEED!" more like have a random person they know message you and offer to take them all is a bit odd to begin with but insists they have multiple family members who are looking for kittens, is recognised as someone who supplies the pet stores with their kittens and denies it straight out saying "I don't work for anyone like that now way!" then proceed to charge $200 a cat when they were free to good home in there first place and we'll looked after clean and not in any need of "SAVING". Our son still asks where they are. then see them 2 days later on this page for an unruly price and they have the nerve to say they need saving and rescuing. This company is messed up. Would give 0 if it was an option.
