Fixed computer. Nice people.

Terrific service from Macguys. Needed my MacBook sorted out urgently whilst I was away from home and simply picked Macguys from the list of nearby service people. All sorted and ready to collect within about 3 hours. That would have taken at least 3 days had I been at home in Worcestershire. RK 27/6/24

My 2019 iMac had slowed down recently taking ages to wake up and open apps. After the iOS Sonoma update my iMac became unusable. I’d seen Macguys in Tooting and dropped in to discuss the problem. They suggested it might be my HDD hard drive unable to take the new iOS. I came back with my iMac, they confirmed the problem and recommended a new SSD drive. They fitted it quickly and now it’s like having a brand new machine. I was very impressed by the service and would definitely recommend them to anyone having similar problems.

Touted themselves as hard drive recovery 'experts' I had a dead hard drive I brought in as it was not spinning up. They told me after some time that they could not recover the drive, saying that they tried everything they could and they have this special machine that cost them over 13 grand, and charged me £72 just to look at the drive. Then I take it to my friend who messes about with computers for fun - leaves it plugged into a regular PC overnight and it just powers up. Yes they had told me I will incur an inspection fee... just to be clear... but £72 when my mate can just plug it in? Obviously not experts then, are they? :) Or maybe they need to get their 13 grand back for their machine! EDIT: So you allege I have just flat out lied about this? I took it to my friend AFTER I took it to you on the off chance he could recover the data, as he was angry on my behalf that I was charged so much. He left it overnight and it span up and worked - he believes this was an issue with the power supply on the hard drive control board. You also allege that the £72 was not forced to be paid? this was the bill for looking at the drive! It was not voluntary, so what do you mean "we never force the customer to pay"? . If your diagnosis was thorough, this might be a fair price, but if an amateur can get it going with nothing but a regular ATX power supply? maybe you shouldn't advertise yourself as experts. Stick to flogging macs :) I don't like leaving 1 star reviews, but now you've called me a liar, I think its warranted. Maybe you should leave a 1 star review for the guys that sold you that 13 grand machine

Had water damage in my MacBook motherboard and took it to Apple, who seemed a little confused by what was going on with the laptop at first… after further investigation, they found the problem and tried to charge me just north of a thousand! Left it and had a look around and found MacGuys. I went to the store and the laptop was fixed within 24 hours with a very reasonable price. Customer service was also outstanding! Would high recommend going to this store. Will be bringing any of my Apple devices in the future. Thank you again MacGuys and the nice lady who helped me.

Amazing service, I cannot recommend them enough. They were able to fix both of my macbooks in under a week- one with a new screen and the other which was quite badly water damaged (don't leave electronics near toddlers). I was unable to pay for both so collected one, and the team at macguys kinda held the second for me until I was able to pay over a month later. They were very patient and understanding with me despite them having to front load costs of repair. I cannot thank the team enough! I would highly recommend them. Trustworthy, professional and compassionate company.

Total waste of time, gave them an iPad and was told it needs an an IC, they wasted 2 weeks, I called and was told that they just received the IC and someone will call me later today. Well that also never happened.. so I went after a day and took my iPad back which was not fixed. They quoted me £150 and I had it fixed from a high street shop for £60.00. Wasted 3 weeks for nothing. Plus their receptionist blatantly lied. And I didn’t even get an apology.

I went to Macguys to get my laptop fixed after it was water damaged. They did an amazing job and very quick service! They were professional and kind. I definitely recommend this shop for all your electronic needs!

I thought I had lost some important videos by using a cheap converter and they recovered the files for me and saved the day! They also changed the battery of my laptop quickly! Would recommend their services.

Great customer care. Rare to find in these times.Very efficient. Sound advice also for how to maintain my Mac Book. A year ago I asked them to remove a virus.. and he wiped everything from my hard drive.. I assumed he would tell me that would happen.. bcos I didn't have a back up.. I assumed he will tell me what may happen before he did it.. but didn't it caused me a world of issues then after thay cost me a lot to reinstall.. I also got told by a mac technician at apple store that the replacement battery this store gave me was not done right and was not s legit battery and was causing issues.. maybe a faulty battery..

Macguys sorted out an issue I had with my laptop battery. They are super responsive oh the Whatsapp number and I was able to sort drop off an pick up really easily. The team are also really lovely and the price was fair for what I was getting done.

Great service and craftsmanship here, my Asus laptop's SDD suddenly gave up on me, the staff did a full diagnostic and explained to me the potential issues, talked me through all my options and what the next steps were to upgrade my SSD to avoid any future issues. They were very clear and honest about each step and costs associated, also their recommendations and reasons - which I really appreciated. Very efficient service and lovely staff, fully recommend them. 10/10.

Extortionate prices. Would probably cost less to send whatever pc/laptop back to the manufacturer
