Disappointed with my experience after seeing such good reviews. Communication was poor, a lot of assumed knowledge even though this was my first house purchase. One member of the team in particular came across just rude. Advice on certain situations through out the purchase was non-existent despite my repeated concerns about it - one for example landed me with a huge bill to clear items out of a house that weren’t agreed on the contract and they continued to not respond to my emails with advice. They did exchange and complete quickly but I won’t be using again.

If possible I would rate my experience as 7 out of 10. I found the conveyancing process to be confusing and heavily biased towards filling in web pages with faq’s that were voluminous and often unhelpful. I would have appreciated significantly more human guidance, particularly at the beginning of the process in terms of what to expect . The model seems to be, push as much work on the client, rely on webpages and minimise contact with humans.I can see how this approach can uplift profitability for Lockings, but I never felt like a valued client. On the positive side, when I did occasionally speak to someone (Adel mainly) I found her to be incredibly courteous and helpful.

Helpful and supportive

I have just completed the sale of my property thanks to the Lockings team. My initial call was taken by a lady called Lynsey who was very proffessional, organised and filled me with confidence. After this conversation i requested Lockings to conduct the sale and a lady by the name of Lucy was assigned to handle my sale. Lucy has been first class, she kept me updated at every stage, really on the ball and proffessional with everything she did. We completed in less than 8 weeks, 5 stars from me. Well done Lucy and her team.

I cannot fault the conveyancing with Lockings. From offer to completion took 6 weeks. I was kept informed every step of the way & could easily contact my contact, Lucy Pickering, who was excellent. After an earlier disastrous experience with another solicitor, Lockings was absolutely excellent. Faultless. I couldn't be happier with the service I received. Worth every penny.
