I don't know about their string instrument repair, but I'm a professional saxophonist and their lousy repairs on my instrument made it necessary to send my saxophone to ANOTHER repair shop after these people tried to repair it. They also had a 'superior' attitude which was humorous, considering their lack of knowledge. Avoid this company!!

Great store -- great products -- great people. Go to place for instruments and supplies. You can get professional level saxophones here - -the carry the Cannonball line -- its quite good. The service is incredible. I recently decided to upgrade my case for my selmer mark VI and asked them about the BAM case -- they ordered it and gave me a price that was impossible to beat based upon what I had seen online

Our kid decided to stop taking band, so we went to the store to see what our options were. He said if we made our final payment, we'd own the trumpet and then he'd buy it back. However, there were other customers there so he said we'd have to wait until he could help us. He gladly took our payment though. However, since more people kept coming in, we kept being postponed. Fast forward to an hour later and we just took the trumpet and left. He also told us we'd paid $450 total on the trumpet, but that was only on this trumpet. My kid had a cornet first and we paid on that as well. We paid about $700 in total for the 3 years my kid was in band (not counting the insurance fee and taxes). So that total wasn't even right. I understand you're a small business with limited staff, but regardless you should never make any customer wait that long. Unacceptable.
We have a kiddo that is starting instrumental music at her school and we found this small business after googling wind shops in the area. Steve could not have been more kind and funny to our daughter who wanted to make a decision on which wind instrument to play. Thank you for the top notch customer service and attention.
Be careful of excessive late fee when you rent instrument from the L & L Music Wing Shop. In my case, I rented a flute for my kid for the school year, but didn't return it in time due to family issues. At the end of two months, I was informed that my credit card was charged with $631.05, the stated value of the flute. I was surprised because the instrument was still in my possession and could be returned. When I contacted the store to return the flute, I was told that the store would only offer to buy back the instrument for $200, effectively imposing more than $400 charge for late return.
Please take a look at the contract. I don’t think my case is an isolated incident.
