Absolutely perfect space for our family reunion. We had an incredible time - loved the remoteness! We had 4 toddlers in our party - we all had so much fun and created memories to last a lifetime!

So, first things first, this place is remote, and we loved that. Just make sure you take everything and get your Asda food shop booked in.We were given great directions, so found the place no bother. Apple Maps also took us right there.The listing is 100% accurate. The building and furnishings are dated, that all add to the charm for us and makes it a really unique spot.The hosts were there on arrival and gave us the lowdown of the property. We have 9 in our party (6 adults and 3 kids) and the space was more than ample for all of us.With it being remote, there was plenty of indoor & outdoor games at the house and a mountain of DVDs. Also a smart TV and amazing WiFi! Dungeon pools are great and well worth a visit! Take wet shoes though, painful getting in with stonesKitchen is set up for a large group - crockery and cutlery more than meets demand. We really enjoyed our stay & would 100% recommend for people looking to get away for a few days! Hosts were awesome

I have just spent a weekend at the lodge co-hosting an event.
We had a wonderful time.
Loved the venue, it had everything we needed and the remote location was perfect to switch off from city life. We were blessed with the weather to be able to do lots of our activities outside on the grounds including visiting the Dungeon pool.

Stayed here in January for a weekend, the hosts were lovely and helpful. The lodge was nice and spacious and the location nice and quiet. Overall a lovely weekend.

Lagafaters location provides the perfect taste of Scotland. The lodge is an ideal size for most groups and provided us with the coziness and warmth that a Scottish winter needed.
I feel blessed to have been able to experience a true home from home in the week we were there.
There's plenty to keep people entertained with games, books, grande piano and pool table. There's full internet throughout the lodge just in case the DVD collection has titles everyone has seen.
The best part of our trip was preparing and sharing meals in the giant kitchen with all of our friends.
A massive thank you to the wonderful Matt and Kirsty for being so attentive and also discreet to make our stay magical.
Already looking forward to the next visit.

Second time back at Lagafater and enjoyed it even more than the first! An old beauty of a house surrounded by scenic Scottish wilderness. The hosts, Kirsty and Matt, are incredibly lovely and go over an above to make your stay as good as can be. I can't recommend enough. We will be back many more times.

My stay at Lagafater Lodge was absolutely amazing! The hosts were incredibly friendly and attentive, always willing to help with anything we needed. They truly made our holiday special by going above and beyond to ensure our experience was fantastic. What a beautiful home, this was my second visit to this amazing house. Lots of spacious room with bed heaters which are amazing, especially in the winter months!
The hosts have been so incredible all round, if we needed anything we just had to ask and would be happy to help or show around.
So many board games and things to do within the house and you can never be bored especially reading about the history of the lodge.
I will hopefully be back for a 3rd time!!

Great stay at this lodge, plenty of rooms for a large group of folk to stay. Super cosy vibe with the aga in the kitchen and the big wood burner in the living room. I also went for a run down the road every morning during my stay, fantastic peaceful views.

Just spent a great week with family and friends at Lagafater Lodge. Celebrated three birthdays in style and really enjoyed exploring the tracks, woodlands and surrounding area.
Fascinated by the history of the lodge. You can almost touch it!
Great for the kids (and for the dogs too!)
Max and Hannah are warm and friendly hosts, and couldn’t have been more helpful.
Can’t recommend this place enough for those who want to be off the beaten track for a while.

We had a fantastic family holiday with three generations! Perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, enjoy the fresh air, countryside and peace and quiet! Although in the middle of nowhere there is plenty to do and see. Would highly recommend!

Just back from an amazing weekend at lagafater. Totally back to nature with the family. There were 15 of us with plenty of room for all and some to spare. It’s pretty remote and there’s little phone signal or WiFi which we didn’t mind at all as it meant we all got out and about, swimming in the local water, building dens, enjoying the views. There was a pool table, table tennis table and lots of board games to occupy our time. The house is authentically decorated with a lot of its original furnishings but is still ridiculously comfortable and clean. Our hosts max and Hannah were friendly, welcoming and available for anything we needed whilst giving us privacy to enjoy the place. The dark skies at night made for the most impressive stargazing I’ve ever seen in the uk and the whole thing set the perfect backdrop to entertain the kids with a few haunted house stories!
Definitely worth a visit.
