Horrendous lawyers. They want everything to be hands off but that means they don’t do work for months and never provide updates. Everytime I asked for regular updates they would have no news and complain that I was asking. They stated that it was weird I wanted updates regularly. When they had difficulty contacting my car insurance they would attempt calling once a week and leave a voicemail. When I would ask for an update about this they didn’t even explain anything about the process or provide dates or times for attempted work. I felt like I paid these snakes a third of my payout and yet the entire time I had to tell them to work. No work would happen on my case for MONTHs then I call and complain and suddenly work was done. When I was recovering from the accident - they basically forced me to go to a chiropractor- which I made very clear I don’t support or like. When I told them I wanted to move to physical therapy they scoffed and complained. The place they sent me to was a shady chiropractor place that happened to contract out a single physical therapist. When I later decided to just work with a physical therapist outside of their contacts - they complained about the change and every week of recovery called and asked when I’d be done, there was no sense of care about my recovery and when the insurance company decided fault they called my physical therapist and basically said I had one more week to fully recover. This was clearly so they could take home a bigger check and less would go to the healthcare I needed. I feel bad everyday - I don’t feel like a single cent I paid them was worth it - and I don’t think they care about people getting better. I will actively be telling people to avoid this firm. - as Kramer has since replied I would like to update my review. The rating will remain 1/5 Stars as the points made in their response either mislead or are inaccurate in a way as to not improve the rating. To give a full picture of the points made by the firm: Litigation and timeline: This case did not require litigation and the 10 month timeline is for me to receive payment. The lawyers forced my hand to cease care within 2 months when I would have e preferred more time for care. This forced option was in alignment when the PiP was getting closer to being expended and clearly with the hopes of more money given to the lawyers instead of towards my care. Payment from insurance in approximately 6 months. During those 4 months I continuously asked for updates and a breakdown of funding use - during this time they paid me nothing and blamed my insurance for not paying their PiP. PiP and Communication: Kramer Law did not contact my insurance weekly, this was the issue I had with them. They claimed to attempt contact but never made did, constantly telling me that they were attempting but not getting anyone on the line or were waiting for a supervisor call back. My insurance company would let me know that the law firm has never made contact. The firm would only attempt contact if I specifically asked for it and even then wouldn’t follow up for multiple weeks if they got sent to voicemail. Discounted Rate: Final restitution only happened when I mentioned the possibility of needing an interest fee paid due to the time the firm had on the payout. Ron Kramer (to his credit) stepped in and offered a 3% discount from the fee, notifying his team to immediately pay me and allow the PiP issue be resolved after the primary had been paid out. When going to retrieve this primary payment and sign documents, I was greeted by a staffer who was clearly upset with me, showing attitude about having to action the case and when I asked them to update the legal documents such as my email being incorrectly spelled or the payment number missing digits she was openly exasperated. Finally it took another month or so for the PiP to be used and me to be finally paid out. Bad experience all around. If this is your expected experience I’d never recommend this firm to anyone who wants to make sure they get made whole after and accident.

Adam, I was sad to see your review because I know we tried real hard to get you the best possible recovery as quickly as possible. Many cases can take years to resolve, particularly when we need to litigate the case in court and I was actually pleased that we got yours done in less than 10 months. You mentioned that we called your car insurance weekly. We do this when our client's own insurance is not paying their "Personal Injury Protection" or PIP coverage like they should. I know that was an issue in your case and unfortunately, with some third-rate insurance companies that our clients sign up with, it can be challenging to get them to do the right thing and pay the benefits our clients are entitled to. I'm glad that our persistence paid off and they ultimately paid out the benefits that were owing. You are correct that our attorney fee is 1/3 of whatever we collect. This is called a "contingency fee" and the rate is standard throughout the United States. Where some firms actually charge more than a third, we never go above that for cases that we can settle without having to file in court or arbitration. And I know in your case, we actually gave you a courtesy discount on top of that. Regarding communication, our policy is to stay in touch with our clients every two weeks while they're treating. Some clients think this is a little but too much. But these cases are a two-way street. We'll work the case up and present it to an insurance company and request a favorable offer, but our clients need to complete their medical treatment and be compliant with their doctor's instructions. Our calls are designed to check in with our clients to make sure this is happening. If it's not happening, we call and lovingly encourage our client to be compliant with their doctor's orders. Sadly, despite this encouragement, some clients still choose not to be as compliant as they should. We don't abandon those cases, we just try and do the best we can with the situation even though we know the value will be less if the client has not completed all their treatment. And once our client has been released from that medical provider (or calls it quits themselves), we collect the bills and records to use for preparing a settlement demand. So months could literally go by without us requesting records if the treatment is extended and not completed. Rest assured though that we're still working on the case even though our workup is closer to the beginning of settlement discussions. Regarding your mention of a "bigger check," it is true that we want a bigger check -- for our client! Our goal is to get our clients all available policy limits that are out there for them. Your case was no different. Although I was saddened to read your review, I welcome the chance to talk with you personally to discuss these issues in more detail. We remain committed to doing everything we can to get our clients the best possible recovery and make their experience so exceptional that they'll want to share the news with their friends and family who might need our service.
