I’d leave a zero if I could. So stupid I’ve been waiting for my package for DAYS!! It said it would get here Friday then Saturday then Sunday and it was delivered to Myrtle beach but then went to aynor the is in Columbia for some reason like why did it go so far away when it was just in Myrtle beach then it said it would get here the 20th which is today and nothing. Absolutely HORRIBLE
Where Time Goes To Die
There exists, in the heart of Carolina Forest, a place where time doesn't merely pass. It perishes. The Post Office. A fluorescent-lit desert where minutes are tortured into hours and human spirits wither on the vine.
The dread began the moment I turned into the parking lot. Through the window: the line. A serpentine chain of defeated souls stretching out the door, their faces bearing the thousand-yard stare of people who've waited too long.
Forty-five minutes. Thirteen people ahead of me. Simple math suggests this should be manageable. But math doesn't account for the fact that in this dystopian place, normal laws don't apply.
The postal workers move in slow motion. A dreamlike ballet of absolute indifference. One glides past the line, vanishing into the back, presumably where time is stored, never to be returned. Another stands chatting, yawning with a colleague while customers wait, packages trembling in hand, like offerings to gods who've stopped listening.
Twenty minutes. One customer takes twenty full minutes to mail a single box. The postal worker seems equally unbothered, moving with the purposeful lethargy of someone who's discovered that time is infinite when you simply refuse to acknowledge it.
We are not customers. We are witnesses to some cosmic joke about efficiency. "I'm bringing a chair next time," mutters the woman ahead of me, her voice carrying the dark humor of the damned. We've bonded by shared trauma and the realization that this is why postal service costs so much: nothing actually gets processed.
We're paying premium prices to watch workers disappear for minutes at a time, to observe pointless conversations.
The workers are magnificently oblivious. They don't see the line, as we've become ghosts to them. They steal our time with the casual confidence of outlaws who know the sheriff ain't coming.
Then, the reckoning. When I finally escape, I emerge blinking into sunlight like a survivor of some bureaucratic apocalypse. What should have been a quick drop-off has become legend.
This is the Carolina Forest Post Office: the customer service torture chamber, the place where efficiency came to die and its ghost now haunts the premises, rattling chains made of Priority Mail stickers.
Do you dare enter? Do you dare bring your precious time into this desert where it'll be taken from you, slowly, deliberately, while workers drift past in their beautiful, terrible slow-motion waltz?
The Post Office remains. Time does not.
People are leaving bad reviews of this location because of the carriers that come from this location. Good luck getting you mail correctly delivered, I've made multiple complaints about our apartment complex not having the outgoing mail picked up, or mail being placed in wrong mailboxes. The worst is when you have a package or letter that needs to be signed for, the carrier will sign it, and if anything comes up they say the resident gave them permission 🙄🙄🙄. Things get better for a while, then suddenly they are nothing but issues. Oh and good luck with get a supervisor to even be willing to look into issues. Maybe the postal union should stop protecting people who clearly don't want to do their job. Especially when you keep getting the same problems from the same carrier
Went here for the 1st time on Tuesday October 14th 2025 with my dad. We had to mail a letter and decided to mail it in the post office. We also decided to go inside to mail the letter so that I know how inside looks like since we moved here and am new to the area. It is big, had a big line too for packages and postal questions. They are open on the weekends too. They also had people selling cards inside and shipping materials! We found where we can mail the letter, and mailed it. 5 stars for the easy experience in the post office.
Not sure if this post office is responsible for the mail we get- but sometimes it can be slow. For instance, the app informed mail shows that mail will come- although it does say coming soon... but then i check the mailbox and it's empty. Although oftentime when that happens, we get the mail the next day. Also all packages so far have been received in a timely manner. I also noticed that mail often goes to columbia to get sorted, so maybe that's why it may be slow.
Here we are again editing my original review of this post office, because they have done it again. I ordered a package through Amazon, says it was delivered, but surprise it wasn't. This has to be the absolute worst Post Office in the state of SC. Wish I could get my packages delivered from another post office with the amount of packages that I have had to reorder.
Was expecting this order today, but it didn't happen!!! I got a notice that the driver attempted to deliver, NOT TRUE!!!! This is not the first time this has happened. No one from the USPS made any attempt to deliver here this evening. The driver never came to the door or rang the door bell, this isn't the first time this has happened with deliveries!!!!!! POOR SERVICE
