We brought our puppy to Ryan and Avary in July. I should have posted immediately but I waited to post about our experience until now to see how our puppy is doing months after the training. We continue to do training a couple times a week due to life stuff and kids. It’s amazing how our puppy is still so focused and obedient even after several months with minimal continuous training. They were able to teach skills to our puppy that he will not forget. He gets excited every time he knows it’s time to work on his skills. We have not had to use the boarding but I can only assume they are great with your dog and left in great hands. I would highly recommend their training services to anyone.

Kansas City K9 Academy was very helpful in correcting my dog's problem behaviors. Ryan and Avery were very knowledgeable and were able to accommodate my schedule. I would recommend them to anyone looking for dog training in the KC area.

We used Kansas City K9 Academy to help our Husky/German Shepherd, Maya. Ryan & Avary were very kind & understanding with the challenges we were facing & really did help. Being a husky, Maya is very headstrong & stubborn - & yet she has learned so much over the 2 weeks of training she did. So glad we chose them to help train Maya. They’re very professional, yet personable & do seem to care. They truly know what they’re doing. Our dog still has her personality however she is so much more well behaved, thanks to Ryan & Avary! 💜

Charlie our Anatolian Shepherd went through 2 weeks of training and that 2nd week did make a difference. That extra reinforcement was totally noticed. This program was an excellent foundation for Charlie to build upon, and he is making bigger strides as we continue to work with him. We realize it's an ongoing process and look forward to attending Saturday classes once a month. Thank you!

Took my 5month old pup to get some basics down with the 2 week program and it was great! My pup learned so much and set the groundwork for us. Hes already listening so much better and understands commands! I highly recommend taking your dog here for training!

Mr. bracket and his wife Lauren were never actually customers of KCK9 Academy. They reached out for information and decided they couldn't be bothered to come out for an in-person consultation and evaluation of their dog. Instead of just moving on to another company, it was apparently necessary to leave this 1-star review. As anyone is able to see we have very happy clients.

I would strongly recommend KCK9 academy. After just the first week our dog had stopped pulling when you went to walk her, she would stop barking and lunging at every person she sees with a simple one word command. I feel like the second week helped to reinforce in her mind what was expected of her as well as learn a few more useful commands. The details of the program were well communicated with us, we knew what to expect and what was expected of us after her training sessions were over. The results speak for themselves. Meatball focuses on us and listens better than ever.

Ryan has been a fantastic help with our dogs. We're already seeing great improvements with both of them and we are continuing his good training at home so our pups are smarter. I am amazed at how easily both our dogs have adjusted to it and are so much more manageable! Kansas City K9 Academy is different from other trainers in the Pleasant Hill area - Ryan's methods don't rely on cruelty, water torture, rolling cages or generally scaring dogs. It's just solid, mindful training from an expert and we are very happy to have found him for our doggos.

We wouldn’t trust just anyone with our Sweet Pup Larry. After our free consultation with Ryan from KC K9 Academy my husband and I knew he had our pups best interest at heart. Larry spend two weeks KC K9 Academy and came back the same sweet Larry but with a lot of command knowledge that we still use today. Ryan meets you where you’re at with your dog and as an owner. We appreciate all the work Ryan put into our little rescue pup Larry!

We are very pleased with the training our dog received. He’s older (age 9) and we were concerned he wouldn’t respond well. However, he did!! He is more calm, listens to the commands and is more responsive. Teaching us how to maintain consistency, the commands and break our old habits was very helpful also. Thank you!!

My boy learned so much in just a week during his 5 day stay at Kansas City K9 Academy. It has made a huge difference so quickly! I’m so grateful I found Ryan to train my pup. Ryan works extremely hard to train/help so many dogs! I cannot thank him enough for his dedication, passion and the behavior education and training skills that he taught us.
