The food here is good, fresh and flavourful.
That said… the service can be really hit or miss. If you get the right staff member, it’s a great experience. For example, you can add avocado to your dish for $2 (it’s literally a button on their iPad system), but I’ve had times where staff refuse and say things like “the manager will get mad at them and not make the food good if I ask for extras” — which is… a bit awkward and confusing as a customer.
My advice: avoid coming during busy lunch hours. When it’s quieter and the staff aren’t rushed, the whole experience is much better and more relaxed.
Overall, yum food, just be prepared for inconsistent service depending on when you visit.

Got takeaway of not spicy scallop shells no longer in a scallop shell but in a paper cup The cup was stuffed with rice which all
stuck to the paper. There was only two tiny bits of salmon and half a scallop. All the sauce was stuck to the lid not on the dish. The dish was cold did not seem like it has been blow torched. We ate in the car so it was only 2/3 mins from getting it to eating so should be warm. This meal was very average and well below standard. Wont get this again as standard is no longer there

Dined in on a weekday for dinner - great portion size, value for money and customer service. The food came out quickly and tasted beautiful! Highly recommend the katsu set menu - so much variety and flavour!! We also tried the yuzu soda drink and it was unreal! I thought it was going to come in a prepackaged can but it was a nice drink made from scratch and had little sweet yuzu pieces inside. Thank you team, I’ll definitely be back

Amazing food - fresh, tasty and well priced. So many choices I need to go back to sample the other dishes. Food came out within 10 mins. We were definitely not hungry after.

Very slow service, we had to keep asking for the rest of the dishes, other people that came after us did receive theirs, while we were still waiting. There was 3 of us & we had to eat in stages. Also my chicken was raw & not cooked properly. Wouldn’t go there again.

It’s OK but it’s not great. The dishes are a bit hit and miss. The udon is not good value, the donburi was good. You could definitely do better.

Very disappointing experience.
Yesterday, my family and I dined at this restaurant. My husband and child drank the tap water provided, and both of them shortly afterward developed severe stomach cramps. My husband had one full glass, and my child only took a small sip.I was the only one who did not drink the tap water and did not experience any symptoms. The stomach pain continued even after we left the restaurant.
We have never encountered this kind of situation before. Just wanted to share this experience as a caution for others. Unfortunately, it has made us feel uncomfortable about returning to this restaurant.

Food delicious but the poor staff are run off their feet and need more service staff. Still come here because the set menu is fantastic but it’s not nice seeing people waiting (and myself) up to 20min just to take an order down
