I was June Homes resident. Excellent, fair, and timely Customer support. The entire process, including move in and move out, was easy and hassle-free from beginning to end. Utilities, maintenance, and regular monthly cleaning were included.

I have been living in Boston apartment for nine months, and my room light has gone out. Since I moved in, the light switch has been unstable, but I didn’t report it because it was still functioning. I have reached out several times now, as I am essentially living in the dark, yet no one has come to inspect the issue. My emails have been ignored. Isn’t residents’ safety important to you?

Honestly not one thing to complain about. June homes is the perfect system for anyone who is looking to have a stress-free experience. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and will be looking to use June Homes again in the future.

I strongly advise against renting this apartment or dealing with this landlord/management. My experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish, and I ultimately had to move out early due to unacceptable living conditions. The room never had proper heating throughout my entire stay. Even a building technician confirmed the room was cold and said he couldn’t fix it due to poor insulation in the brick wall. I repeatedly got sick because of the low temperatures. The “solution” was a small space heater that was nowhere near sufficient — at one point my room was 58°F, which is below the legal minimum in NYC during heat season. Despite raising this multiple times, the issue was never resolved. The apartment was dirty when I moved in. I have a dust allergy, so it was incredibly difficult to live in a space that had clearly not been cleaned beforehand. I was promised a bedside table over two weeks before moving out. Despite multiple reminders, it never arrived. I moved out on Monday the 24th. It has now been two weeks, and I still have not received my security deposit back. On top of all this, I received two separate emails from their accounting system claiming I had outstanding payments due — which made absolutely no sense, as everything was paid upfront. Each time I contacted accounting, they confirmed that my balance was zero and that the emails were sent by mistake. Still, during the span of only three weeks, I received two warning notices of different amounts and had to provide proof of a five-week-old payment each time. This clearly points to serious issues in their internal management and systems. Overall, the communication, upkeep, and basic responsibilities of providing a livable environment were all handled poorly. I cannot recommend this apartment or management to anyone.

I had a great experience renting out of June Homes. I was able to get an apartment super quick, a week before school started, and the whole process was very smooth. They were very responsive whenever my roommate or I put in a request, and they always took good care of us!

Be careful to rent from this company. I applied and cancelled my application at the same day. They forced me to pay a big invoice so they provide me with the access code for the building. The sales representatives provided me with the wrong information, I went to the place and found it damaged!! Very dirty, very cold, the kitchen is extremely dirty, same thing for the fridge. They kept sending me emails for utilities bills to pay while I never lived there. They took my money without my permission, illegal transaction, today I received another email for an invoice to pay for March. They didn't provide me with keys, while they sent me an email to return the keys. THEY ARE SCAMMERS FOR SURE.

Many alternatives in the market fail to deliver even half of what this offers, yet they charge significantly more. It’s refreshing to find something that strikes the perfect balance between affordability and premium quality. What I appreciate most is the consistent commitment to improvement. I was enjoying the apartment for a few weeks and then realized that there was a rodent problem… terrible service and did not receive a refund. If they mention “building staff” will assist you, then you are out of luck.

The process was smooth from start to finish; everything was exactly as listed, the space was clean and comfortable, and move-in was simple. Easily my worst experience with any kind of company ever. Never been so disrespected. But that’s not even why im here. Seven months after my contract is up and now they are sending emails again claiming I have a balance. I told them this is not the case but they still claiming I owe. What’s funny is they not even saying what I owe lol. Anyway, my experience with them taught me if I want to get something done with this company, I have to write a review so they can actually address the problem then pay me to remove the review later So here I am….

Great place to stay! The apartment was clean, comfortable, and in a really convenient location. Check-in was easy, and June homes was friendly and quick to respond. Overall, a solid spot and would definitely stay with them again.

I leased a unit to their organization under a signed contract that clearly requires 30 days’ written notice and a one-month termination fee if they choose to end the lease. Instead, they notified me with only three days’ notice—all while still occupying the space—and stated they would not be paying December rent due to “cash flow issues.” This is a direct violation of the lease they agreed to. I have operated rental properties for years and have never had a tenant attempt to walk away from contractual obligations in this manner. Communication was minimal, and the lack of professionalism has created unnecessary financial and legal complications. If you value reliability, accountability, and honoring agreements, I strongly suggest thinking twice before doing business with this company.

I had an overall positive experience during my stay with June Homes. The apartment matched the photos and description quite well. The location was excellent—both Central Park and Morningside Park are within walking distance, and the subway station is very close, which makes commuting easy. There are also great supermarkets, cafés, and restaurants nearby, so daily life is very convenient. The monthly cleaning service was a nice benefit, although the quality varied depending on the cleaning staff. There were a few drawbacks. When I moved in, one of the curtain rods was broken, which ideally should have been fixed during the inspection after the previous tenant moved out. Additionally, the apartment is close to a main road, so the noise level can be quite high. Overall, it was a good stay with a lot of conveniences due to the excellent location.
