Terrible Service, Unprofessional Team – Stay Away from Straight North!
Working with Straight North has been a disastrous experience that has cost our business thousands of dollars due to their negligence and lack of professionalism. If you’re considering working with them, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere.
Massive Financial Loss Due to Their Mistakes
One of their biggest failures was setting up our landing page and advertising campaigns with a non-working phone number. This meant that countless potential customers called a dead number, and we lost an enormous amount of revenue—especially during our busiest season.
This wasn’t a minor mistake—it directly impacted our sales, customer retention, and overall business growth. Because of their lack of attention to detail, we lost not only immediate revenue but also returning customers who would have continued using our services. They offered us 10 months of free charge of payment for the mistake but that amount of money do not cover our losses during the MONTHS the wrong phone number was in our ads campaign! Can you imagine? Months!
Google Ads Blocked Due to Their Incompetence
More recently, Straight North caused another major financial setback when they set up a contact form on our website years ago and now that form contained malware. As a result, Google flagged our site and completely blocked our Google Ads campaigns.
When we contacted Straight North for support, their team ignored our calls, failed to provide any specific details about the malware issue, and refused to take real responsibility.
For reference, when Google detects security issues, they provide detailed reports pinpointing the exact problem areas—but Straight North never shared any of this critical information with us. We had to reach out to WP Engine ourselves and discovered that the malware was embedded in the contact form they had built.
Because of their incompetence and lack of urgency, our Google Ads campaigns were completely shut down, meaning we couldn’t reach new customers, drive traffic, or generate sales for an extended period. This is unacceptable for any business that relies on paid advertising.
Zero Accountability and Terrible Customer Service
Their customer service is non-existent. In over five years of working with them, I have never spoken to their customer service representative. Emails go unanswered, phone calls are ignored, and when I finally got through to someone, I was given excuses instead of solutions.
At one point, I had to call six different people in their company, and not a single one picked up the phone. I reported the same issue multiple times, yet no one provided a real answer or took responsibility.
Final Insult: They Terminated the Contract Without Fixing Anything
Instead of correcting their mistakes and restoring our Google Ads account, Straight North ended our contract without solving the problem. They left us with a website flagged by Google, blocked ad campaigns, and significant financial losses.
Warning to Future Clients: DO NOT Work with Straight North
I have documented proof of everything—emails, conversations, and evidence—should we decide to pursue legal action. I strongly urge other businesses to avoid Straight North at all costs.
Their leadership ignores clients, their team is unreliable, and their customer service is among the worst I have ever encountered.
If you value your business, DO NOT trust Straight North with your website, advertising, or digital marketing needs.

Your account does not reflect the reality of our five-year working relationship. If nothing had been working, the partnership would not have lasted that long. Our leadership team and staff consistently dedicated time and resources to supporting your business, often exceeding what was contractually required. We make it a priority to show that level of commitment to every client, regardless of the size of the engagement. Unfortunately, the communication from your team was often unprofessional, unproductive and ultimately made collaboration difficult.
To be clear, our agreement was focused solely on managing your paid advertising campaigns. When serious issues were discovered within your website, such as the presence of malware, we immediately provided detailed reports explaining what needed to be addressed. You chose to handle the issue independently and declined to use our experienced web support team at a discounted hourly rate.
Google Ads account disruptions caused by malware are complex and not easily resolved, especially when the underlying problem lies within a site we were not responsible for managing. Despite this, we rebuilt campaigns, escalated the matter through our Google representative and communicated frequent updates to you throughout. Every attempt was made to move the campaigns forward, and the challenges were explained in detail along the way.
As for customer service, our team responded consistently, made multiple outreach efforts and provided timely updates. The claim that we were unavailable or unwilling to help is simply not true. What became clear was that your expectations exceeded the scope of our engagement, and when we could not deliver results outside of our control, we were met with accusations and hostility.
Ultimately, we decided to end the engagement not because we gave up, but because the working relationship had deteriorated past the point of mutual trust. Our team deserves to operate in a professional environment. When that is no longer possible, it is best for both parties to part ways.
We stand by the integrity, effort and professionalism of our team and wish your business the best moving forward.

My experience: Straight North focused on making new links and changing webpage text to please the search engines. Ok, but their writers lacked attention to detail, I felt that much written at the links was hogwash and repeated senseless filler. They were a poor match for my passionate, quality driven company.

They worked on my website first then did some magic behind the scenes (they told me what they did but I dont really understand this stuff lol). Im now on the first page for what people are searching and couldnt be happier
What I like about Straight North over other agencies I've used is they are much more organized and transparent. I had issues in the past with getting updates from some other leading SEO companies but these guys really have a great system to keep things moving. They also have a large team that is ready to pivot as strategy changes. I highly recommend them for SEO and PPC management for your website.
This place was associated with a quality company. The other company provided the credibility that would allow us to think Straight North was legitimate. I will say that they are the worst company that I've ever dealt with. Customer service doesn't return phone call, emails, or texts. Do yourself a favor RUN the OPPOSite direction, and fast! Straight North is a bunch of crooks. Do not sign any contracts with them. You will regret it! Their SEO service is abysmal. They assigned my company, Eon clinics, to an incredibly amatuer team that knew next to nothing about SEO, and charged us exorbitantly! I could have hired some kid fresh out of college and gotten better results. Our traffic actually went down while they were working with us. You are absolutely wrong in your rebuttal . I paid $27k to your company in 4 months and my numbers started to go down considerably (who charges that much money in four months??). Your team would work what any other company would do for $400 and i paid you $6k per month with $9k the first month.
I had REPETITIVE FRUSTRATING CONVERSATIONS and requested multiple times to show me some outcome .
The email you have chosen to show is indicative of my frustration. I was always very well prepared to wait as SEO is a slow process and was aware of it . The amount of work being done on monthly basis and $6k per month commitment was very very minimal and even when they did something it was so improper that my people had to go back and correct . I spent $9k in the first month to give my campaign boost and I went down in rankings . Than I humbly requested your company to pls let me move on to some other company as your company is not adequately prepared but you force me into 6 months contract . Your chief strategy officer's only strategy is to bully people into contracts without any outcome.

Rajan – we are surprised to read your review. During the sales process, Straight North was very clear to set the appropriate expectations about the campaign. We specifically discussed with you that your SEO campaign would take time to see results due to the risky backlinks that had been previously built to your site. We started your campaign June 2017; 3 months into a 6-month contract, you requested to cancel the contract due to internal budgetary issues that you were experiencing. Straight North offered to restructure the terms of the contract in order to assist in your situation. Unfortunately, you elected to stop paying entirely. Your stated review of our services is completely inconsistent with all previous communications. Please see the email you sent to us below.
