Jerry Nicholson is a DRUNK, shiftless and LAZY. My husband retained Mr Jerry Nicholson for a robbery case that my husband I were wrongfully accused of. Jerry charged us $8k for a retention fee. He said if we were to go to trial he may have to charges us an additional $30K.
He never showed up to court (NEVER) and when he did show up 1 of 2 times in the whole 2 years we fought this case he was drunk and smelled of alcohol. He shook my hand and his hands were all shaky and clammy. He said he would speak to the district attorney to negotiate a deal for my husband. The deal was that he had to take anger management classes, plead guilty to a misdemeanor via plea deal and would be placed on formal probation. Know Jerry did not like me so he worked out a deal with the district attorney for me to do 3 years in state prison! With no prior for my husband and I. Plus not to negate the fact that we were %100 innocent of the charges placed on us, we decided to fire the drunk disheveled racist lazy attorney Jerry. And went with a public defender. Jerry continued to harass us about this wonderful plea deal he arraigned for us. He called us stupid and dumb to our faces. We said no and he continued to berate us and disrespect our decision. After he got into a verbal argument with myself in the courthouse we told him he was fired. Whenever we tried to reach him he'd be on vacation somewhere in Mexico on the beach. He was also in collusion with the district attorney of our case. Making small talk and laughing and being buddy buddy with her. The next court date he unexpectedly showed up, drunk and loud and argumentative again. We had to remind him he no longer works for us and must go. He belligerently yelled and caused a scene.
At the end of the day my public defender got us a better plea deal that included a misdemeanor disturbing the peace playing loud music. With no probation, court fines or jail time. My husband and I were picking up our 2023 Mercedes Benz from a tow yard and we paid all the fees and got the waiver signed off by the Corona PD to pick up our car. So no crime was committed.
I suggest you stay far away from this lazy shiftless alcoholic who is a SCAM and only wants your money.

This guy is all over the place and def not professional as he tries to come off. His assistant continues to send over his retention contract over and over despite his rude conduct and inability to handle a case. Did I tell you he's a loose cannon, because he is. Jerry recently represented me in the criminal case where i was charged with battery, in a fight that i defended myself.
Thanks to Jerry, we were able to put together the evidence proving my innocence and managed to get the case dismissed.
Jerry was super detail oriented, gathered every piece of information he could use even if it meant him taking rides and talking to people about the case outside his office. He made me feel he wanted the best for me and was trying his best at all times.

Avoid This Lawyer at All Costs
If you're in legal trouble, please -- do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
This lawyer was by far the most unprofessional and unstable individual I've ever encountered in a legal setting. Let me start with this: he doesn't own a computer. That means any digital evidence you have won't be reviewed unless you bring your own laptop to show him. No exaggeration -- his office has no computer.
At one meeting-- which I arrived at late due to a college midterm -- I had forgotten my laptop. He immediately went on the offensive, accusing me of being on drugs, saying, "What drug is it, huh?" Just for being late and not bringing my laptop. The irony? He doesn't even have one himself.
During that preliminary hearing, he began angrily muttering under his breath, not just at me, but at the other defendant and even the judge. His behavior was so inappropriate and disruptive that the judge had to stop the proceedings and tell him to calm down. While I understand he is a military veteran, it was clear in that moment that he was emotionally unstable and unfit to be representing anyone in court.
I paid this man $7,000, and in return, he showed up completely unprepared. He hadn't reviewed the evidence and even failed to recognize me in a video presented during the hearing -- a deeply embarrassing and telling mistake.
To make matters worse, he was a no-show at the next scheduled hearing. The judge questioned his legitimacy, and my new attorney was left scrambling, with no documentation or case materials passed on. Total chaos.
His office -- hidden away in a dark, unwelcoming corner -- reflects the disarray and dysfunction of his entire practice. He's aggressive, disorganized, and treats both his clients and staff with open disrespect.
This was the worst professional experience I've ever had. Save your money, time, and sanity.
You deserve a lawyer who will advocate for you, not one who humiliates and abandons you.

This guy is the biggest con/crook in the system. I'm keeping this short because I'm not waiting anymore time on him. He sounds good but he does nothing for you. I gave Jerry over $10,000 dollars to fight a felony case and he just kept putting off my case and wanted more money. when I refused to give him more money because he had done nothing for me and I was in custody. I told Jerry I was going to fire him when the judge comes back in. That's when Jerry threatend me and he told me not to raise my voice. Well Jerry I'm out and been off parole now for 8 years.
