Went in to sell a diamond engagement ring that no longer held meaning. Hannah, the buyer we talked with, was great. Very knowledgeable and very honest with us. We learned a few things about the jewelry resell market, and decided we couldn't sell to them today, but had a very positive interaction with the people and business as a whole.
I was there and I had 4 ounces of sterling silver and they paid me 200.00. I had a 18k pendant and a 40-50 caret blue topaz in 18k I also had a 4.5 caret green tourmaline rare in 18k they were only going to give me 400.00. I had it appraised at 29,000 thousand for the necklace. I also had the sky blue topaz 600.00 and the 18k gold pendant for 3,000. I am glad I went for second opions
Had a great experience selling jewelry here. The bad reviews stating low offers are accurate BUT they also let you know you can get more selling privately and are transparent about what they can offer and why. They made an initial offer, which I countered and they then accepted. It was worth taking less for my jewelry to have a fast and convenient transaction with one party. I then spent some time looking at wedding bands and had a great experience with that as well!

We previously visited another store and were left unpleased but this was totally different. She made me feel confident that I saw everything and tried everything on. Been a long time buyer from this establishment, well over 5k in purchases. Came in to sell and was offered 72% of spot for my silver and 80% spot on my gold. Didn’t expect to be low balled from these guys.
The buying business is very difficult right now. After the huge bubble about a month and a half ago, a lot of refiners are no longer even buying silver. They will not let us lock a price, so there's a lot of variability. We are one of the only buyers locally that continued to buy silver even though other places didn't. We are honest and we admit what we pay and and right now silver is a tough one. We are holding a lot of silver right now and we could actually lose money even though it looks like we're paying a little bit on the low side. Please give us another chance as we're trying to sort this all out! Thank you.

Brought two rings in to see what they would offer the guy at the front counter looked at them (eyes only) for less than 30 seconds and stated they were gold plated and 10 bucks each, I had a jeweler look at them prior to coming here and they are in fact not gold plated... not to mention the one I had looked at else where that has 20 diamonds resale value is around $2500. What a joke!

That said, we should have taken the time to explain what we were seeing and walk you through our evaluation instead of a quick glance. You deserved that explanation, regardless of what the items turned out to be.
We wish this interaction had gone better and that we'd handled it with more care and professionalism.

stay away from them if you're trying to sell any gold or precious metals!!! they only offer at max 40% of spot price and that's highway robbery, you could get better offers at your local pawn shop, and MUCH better offers from actual gold dealers and coin shops! I took my gold down the road and was offered over double. their equipment also is not the most accurate, as they tried to say a couple items were well below their stamped purity and had to re test them to get an accurate reading!

When we buy metals, we have costs like refining fees, shipping to the refinery, and we take on risk since metal prices can change between when we buy and when we process. The refineries don't pay us spot price either, so we can't pay spot to sellers.
On the testing, we use XRF (X-ray Fluorescence) technology, which is the industry standard for getting accurate metal content. If something tested different than what it was stamped, we base our offer on what it actually is to make sure you get a fair assessment.
We're glad you shopped around and found a better offer. That's always the smart move when selling precious metals.
